bad reviews? this hotel is amazing!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/2/10
i dont know how there are bad reviews on this hotel. maybe they didnt stay after the millions of dollars remodel? when you walk into the hotel you are greated with friendly front desk staff that make everything personable. they give you the low down on the hotel such as events going on in the microbrew, which is the best part, where the gym and poolS are. i was there during a wedding and they warned me ahead of time and made sure i wasnt going to be disturbed by the wedding party. the food was fantastic!! the gym is a public gym that you have free access which may seem a bit odd but its probably one of the best gyms ive ever been in. the room itself you have a nice 40 some odd inch flat screen tv, comfy beds, and the rooms are very clean. only bad thing i have read and didnt get to check was the seaport rooms but i was told all the rooms are the same and there is no difference minus the location. speaking of location, the hotel is located in the perfect spot!! you can see the clearwater river if you have river view room and its pretty much located right in the center of town. its easy to find, there are restaurants all around and if you need any help with directions the front desk knows it all. i would recommend this hotel to anybody. take your kids here there is a great indoor and outdoor pool, plus theres a waterpark in town that was easy to find. recreation isnt a problem in lewiston and Red Lion will go out of their way to make sure your stay is memorable. honestly dont listen to the bad reviews, try it for yourself. youll be impressed

WORST HOTEL EVER STAYED IN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/23/09
Liked nothing ! Never been in prison but I think they have at least windows to look out of. The room was very small with 3 lamps with very low watt lights. The room had a window and a balcony but they both faced INSIDE the hotel lobby. The bathtub was very old and dirty. At first I thought the bathmat was coral in color but realized it was just stained that color. The water glasses in the bathroom were dirty. Since we didn't have a window or balcony that faced outside we had to run the air conditioner to get some air moving. The unit was sooooo loud we had to turn the TV up very loud. I'm surprised no one complained about how loud it was but they were not booked up. This was a deluxe king for $109 dollars. If this was deluxe I'd hate to see the standard. The front desk was not very friendly either both checking in and out. Never asked how our stay was but perhaps they didn't want to know or were afraid to ask..

Avoid like the plague!
By Big, 3/9/08
We arrived to 6:00pm find that the hotel did not honor our confirmed reservation, and had switched us to a lessor room which did not have room for two people to work with laptops. They did not however, lower the room rate! Once we realized we had no other options (most hotels were full) we took the small room, just to realize that there was NO Internet access as advertised. We had two laptops that would connect to their access point, but could not get Internet, and the room down the hall had the same problem, but the hotel acted like we were just idiots and it was our problem. We will never stay at this hotel again; in fact I think we're through with the entire Red Lion chain.

Very Unhappy
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/9/05
This will probrably be deleted, but my wife and I stayed there 2 nights. On Saturday night they had a big convention, that went on till 3:00 am and the party was out of controll. People running up and down the halls screaming back and forth at each other. Slamming doors. It was rediculous. I told the lady at the front desk the next morning and they gave me a whole ten bucks back. I was insulted, especially beings I didn't get but about 2 hrs sleep the whole night. I would not recommend the Red Ly-in inn to my worst enemy if i had one!!!
