Comfort Inn Gettysburg, Gettysburg

Horrible. Staff was rude, breakfast food had mold and the place was full of student groups running through the halls at all hours, screaming and taking over the pool. Any complaint was written down as a complaint against the guest making it, not about what was really wrong. The rooms were old and dirty and smelled of smoke. The hotel's remedy? An automatic air freshener that sprayed every 5 minutes right over the bed. Don't stay here!

When we first got to the Comfort inn they had a half hour extra wait for check in, the receptionist was very snippy with us, and then took the other 2 couples who were waiting after us first. Finally got to the room, first there were no towels in the room the coffee table was dirty and had dried food on it. The bed comforter had red hair all over it. Not a so Comforting inn!!!

I took a chance...and I lost. It's not clear online that ALL the rooms allow dogs, pets. And to non-pet owners, the rooms smell terrible. Underlying dog smell which they try to cover up with some kind of cleaning product / air "freshener" (neither the cleaning nor the odor masking product were effective), Even with the window open and fan running, I slept very poorly and was way-y-y congested by early morning. When booking online, you can't get a refund when you arrive so you loose your money if you go somewhere else. I thought maybe the open window and fan would help - but the smell was too pervasive. Thank goodness I had only booked for one night. The lobby reeked of Chlorine-- maybe the pool, but if so, they were using buckets of Chlorine for some reason (what other molds were they dealing with in the building?). Unless you travel with a dog, pass on the Comfort Inn in Gettysburg.

We loved the hotel. The hotel had been completely renovated in 2010. The decor was beautiful. We especially loved the high speed wireless internet, the clean room and the indoor pool. The hotel had plenty of area for the children to play and the hotel staff was very knowlegable of the local attractions.

We found the Gettysburg Comfort Inn to be a bit of a disappointment. The place was nicely furnished and offered decent amenties at a reasonable price, but the housekeeping and building maintenance could have been MUCH better. The door lock was broken (and in pieces on the floor) in the first room we were given, and after we requested a move, the second room had several issues like a moldy shower curtain, a toilet that wanted to flush just once in a while, a refrigerator that wouldn't refrigerate, a dead clock radio, and an unidentifiable greasy spot on the headboard of one of the beds. (It's probably best we didn't know what that was.) With a little attention to detail, this could be a great place to stay. As it is now, though, I think we'll be searching for other accomodations for our next trip to Gettysburg.

While i was staying in the Comfort Inn in Gettysburg, pa, I was shocked at how terrible the room was. The air conditioner was leaking and made the floor soaking wet. The whole time the hotel smelled of wet dog. I wish to never stay at this hotel again.

My family checked in to this hotel assuming a Comfort Inn would be comfortable after traveling for two weeks....Nothing seemed to work, the elevator wasn't working,the jaccuzzi was down, and the pool was a cloudy white color...Ceilings were leaking into the pool,and by the mold on them,this isn,t recent... After a hour from check in, we checked right back out.. For 2 dollars more, try the Holiday Inn express...What a Change!!!!

The Comfort Inn is located close to downtown Gettysburg and is a quick drive to Liberty. I like staying here because they take dogs, the rooms are clean, and have excellent rates even during the holidays.

I disliked that we could not turn our heater on. Every time we tried to turn it on it would smoke and cause the smoke alarm to go off. The shower had no water pressure at all. The hotel manager acted like he had no idea of what he was doing. I will never stay at this Comfort Inn again. It was the worst overnight I have ever stayed in a hotel.

We loved the motel, it was clean, and so convenient to whatever we wanted to go to. The front desk was especially helpful. Donna was so friendly and aswered our many questions so courteously and gave us wonderful suggestions for sightseeing. The breakfast was the best we have seen. Everything was clean, and well taken care of. We will definately stay there again. Thanks, Brenda VA
