Hampton Inn St. Louis-NW I-270 (Florissant), Florissant

If you take the bad reviews to heart with this hotel, you are really missing out on a great experience! The staff was wonderful to my husband and I when we stayed while visiting friends. The rooms were extremely clean, compared to my last trip here, and they have done some extensive additional renovations to the hallways and some of the rooms. They said they were in the process of doing some other renovations as well, which shows to me that they care. As far as the rooms, they were exceptionally clean, and housekeeping was kind enough to leave us more than enough extra towels when we requested them. Check in took a bit longer than I would have liked, but I attribute that to the fact that it appeared only one person was at the desk that evening on a busy night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to my family and friends as well as anyone else traveling to this area.

We stayed at this hotel the weekend of August 25-27th, 2006. Our group had booked about 15 rooms. My room was not thoroughly cleaned because there was paper on the floor and trash in the wastebasket. The bathroom appeared clean, but a closer look revealed old, used shampoo bottles left in the shower, and pieces of used soap on the tub floor. The shelf under the sink needed to be dusted and the shower curtain smelled moldy. My son and his wife's room smelled of mold and mildew and their air conditioner went out in the middle of the night. The hallway of the hotel was extremely hot. The area where breakfast was served was fine. The breakfast was good especially the coffee and the muffins which were very fresh and tasty.
