BEST WESTERN Bluffview Inn & Suites, Prairie du Chien

I have never had such a poor experience with a hotel in my life. We made a reservation at this hotel, and later were given an opportunity to stay closer to our destination for much less money, so we called up Best Western, and talked to Mr. Patel, the manager. He agreed to let us cancel our reservation, and was very nice about the whole issue -- until the day after our reservation, a charge appeared on our credit card. Despite cancelling our room, we were charged anyway. When I called the hotel to set things straight, I was called a liar, and the manager proceeded to scream at me over the phone. He even had the gall to make fun of the way I talk -- which is strange, since I sound like a midwesterner, and his hotel is in the midwest. After a long discussion with this insulting man, he told me the only way I could get a refund and correct his mistake would be to call the corporate offices -- which, as it turns out, was just the lie he told me to get me off the phone, as the corporate offices informed me that only the manager at a given hotel can issue refunds. It's really sad that Best Western allows such terrible managers to continue, and sully the Best Western image. I won't be staying with any Best Western again -- they obviously don't care about customer satisfaction.

The hotel is an older one and has a musty smell. The Pool and hot tub are very small (the photographs look much larger) We were looking forward to a swim and hot tub but they did NOT look inviting. The "FULL HOT BREKFAST " was NOT HOT and NOT FULL (cold eggs and sausage) is not full, hot). The breakfast was served in the VERY small lobby only three tables not nearly enough room for the guests. The things that made us choose the hotel were pool, hot tup and Full hot breakfast and those things were a real disappointment! We felt that this hotel is not a good value for the money! The hotel did seem pretty clean but old and smelly . We would not choose this Best Western Hotel again!!! From reading the other review...I will check my credit card for double charges!

We stayed at this hotel Friday July 24, 2009. We had an awesome time and the rooms were nice. And we were planning on blocking out 20 rooms next year at this time for our entire family reunion. HOWEVER, today I find out my Credit Card was billed twice! I called and spoke to the girl that does the billing and she was soooo rude and not willing to help at all. So my credit card is billed twice and there is nothing they will do about it. HOW RUDE! My family will never go back again!!!

My family and I were just out and about on a week-end adventure, decided to get a room, kids really wanted one with a pool. My husband and I wanted to find a place to relax and have a drink. We found it all there. We were very pleased with the service and the stay. Great breakfast in morning. We are already looking forward to going back to stay again. Thanks!!:)

I had a death in the family, wouldn't let me cancel my reservation at 6pm the day before i was suppose to arrive. They just didn't care. The Owner/ Manager Laurie was rude just kept saying she had bills to pay and that that was the rules and she had to follow them.

The Owner or the BestWestern and Super 8 are the rudest, meanest people I have ever met. They Cancelled my room on my wedding night so when me and my Husband went to check in after Our reception. We had nowhere to go. They had no compation at all. They didn't care. We had a credit card on the room and everything. They just thought we were not going to show, so they sold it to get more money, and still charged our credit card. My wedding night was ruined. It hurt so bad. I will never stay there. Alls they care about is Money not there customers.
