DoubleTree by Hilton Modesto, Modesto

The Doubletree Hotel Modesto is a nice high-rise facility hotel located in Downtown Modesto. It was formerly a Red Lion Hotel before being purchased by Hilton. It is attached to the Modesto Convention Center. The lobby is a large with a pleasant front desk and sitting area. The staff is impressive, and feel like they belong in a four-star hotel. You get the Trademark Doubletree cookies at check-in. Our kids would stay at a Doubletree before a Four Seasons because of those darned cookies! But they are tasty.

Our guest room was on the 10th floor and had a good view. Rooms are nice quality, slightly larger than average with good quality furnishings, including a chair with ottoman and a work desk with chair. Our room had 2 queen beds and they were quite comfortable, and seemed new. The bathrooms were clean, well-lit with large mirror and were of average size with limestone floors. There is a vanity/sink area in the bathroom, as well as right outside the bathroom in the room�s foyer. Bath care products are from Neutrogena like all Hilton branded hotels. This is a great hotel and we will be returning. The Pedestrian Mall has shops, theaters, bistros and a Starbucks.
