Ramada Limited Seaworld, San Diego

First night, my husband killed a roach crawling on the wall. Third night, I killed a roach in the bathroom. Fourth day, there was a big roach that crawled from under the air conditioning unit across the floor. Really gross. We then moved to an upper level room which was a lil cleaner and bigger and didn't see any roaches there, but those roaches we did see were enough for me to not recommend this hotel to anyone. Also, the workers at the front desk were not very friendly. One was too busy texting on her phone to help us and another was too busy talking to her friend that was sitting there with her. It was really annoying. Breakfast was lame. I had bagels for six days in a row cause its either that or frozen eggo waffles. The only thing good about this place is its close to sea world and lots of eating places, but also close to lots of adult stores which makes it not so good for families. All in all, its got roaches, its not very clean, service is not friendly nor good, breakfast is not good, and noise from upper level rooms and slamming doors is unavoidable. So don't stay here if you can help it cause I'm definitely never coming back.

I’ve never written a hotel review but this one was such an unpleasant experience that I feel compelled to write. I picked this hotel because it was close to Sea World. I’m vaguely familiar w/the San Diego area, have stayed on Hotel Circle and Downtown many, many times, so didn’t expect this to be too bad. I was wrong. On our way to the hotel at dusk after a great day at Sea World, there were 3 homeless men w/ signs on 3 separate corners of Midway and Sports Arena Blvd, only about a block away from the hotel so that made me and my 2 daughters a little uncomfortable. We had a downstairs room, but figured as we were back in the corner as opposed to on the street, we’d be fine. The walls are paper thin, apparently and we could hear vehicle noise and conversations of anyone outside. I could even hear the footsteps of a woman walking upstairs outside our room. This is nothing I’ve ever experienced at a hotel before, not even Days Inn or Motel 6, and I booked Ramada because I thought it was a step above. And the door slamming! Either the building is tilted or there’s some sort of return built into the door because we heard constant door slamming all night long. We couldn’t wait to leave the next morning and just go home. If you’re looking for a hotel in San Diego, by all means, avoid this one and go to Hotel Circle. I will in the future!

The staff and the location were alot better than expected. But it is only a place you want to sleep at and not a resort. The location was prime due to its proximity to shopping and night time activities. The staff was courteous and professional as well.
