Villa Embasadora, El Cajon

I've stayed here a number of times for up to 10 days per stay. It is quiet, inexpensive and run-down charming. I love the wild parrots singing in the palms around the perimeter. I travel with an autistic child and this place works great for both of us. The on-site laundry is a must for us. The one level structure makes loading and unloading our car easy. The staff have always been good to us. The rooms are not in great shape, the place is not super clean, but everything essential works. I don't care if my socks get dirty walking on the carpet. I'm heading back there at New Year and looking forward to a fun 10 day stay.

I liked the property the hotel is on. very secure. mamagement is very rude dishonest and they tried to write down my credit card number on the bottom of registration card, she told me she does it to all people that use credit cards. totally illegal. I wore clean white socks and by walking on the carpets for 20 minutes they were black. The room smells there is mold along wallbase in the entire unit. they charge $5 per visitor. Room service was horrible. on my fourth day they would not give me clean towles or bedding. By far the dirtiest hotel i have ever stayed in, i've stayed in many.

The Embassadora is a quaint little motel in El Cajon. Located about 15 minutes from downtown San Diego, Sea World and the beaches. Rooms are average hotel size with not a lot of frills, but contrary to the last review, they were very clean, fresh paint, hot water and good maid service. The employees were very courteous and attentive to our needs. They set us up with a fridge and microwave and clean towels and linens daily. There were coffee and donuts in the lobby every morning. We stayed for a week and had absolutely no problems. The rates were great and WE WOULD definitely stay here again when visiting the San Diego area.

after a 4 hour bus ride was looking forward to my room, well got there got key they charge for the remote and key but you get refund on it when you leave, walked into room the walls had phlem on then the carpet your feet stuck to romm wasnt vacumned i went to office and had to beg the clerk to please come look at room she said i can change your room but they are all the same at that point i said whatever i had already paid for a two day stay. well i just stayed away from room til i was so exausted that it didnt matter my kids came to get me and the clerk called the room screaming to many visitors i said they came to take me to eat she still repeated herself one more time i then hung up on her. got back late to afraid to turn down bed so just slept on top of it still in my clothes the tub has no way to hold water unless you put washcloth in the hole. this place should not be open its one big disease the table looks like it has mold on the stand pretty awful the health dept needs to go and check this i was in room107 nasty nasty nasty. i will never go there again. she did clean outside the door as i stuck to the pavement on entering thanks for being here so we can let others no where not to go

It was comfortable and conviently located between all points of interest both exciting and historical. Very comfortable and relaxing with great AC and room arrangement for the space. There is a grocery store down the street along with a historical italian restaurant I would recommend anyone I know for a good italian meal.
