Best Location and Nicest Hotel in Hannibal
By dws, 11/6/11
Great, friendly service in an extremely clean hotel. The hotel is directly across the street from the Mark Twain sites and has a good view of the river.

See you next year !!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/26/10
Rooms were great, very comfortable, clean, and updated. The location of the motel is within walking distance of most places you would want to go with the exception of the park and the caves. The breakfast was adequate and the staff were all friendly. Be sure to advise the desk clerk that you are a military veteran or over 55 and you will get a nice discount.

Love the new hotel!
By Debbie, 1/18/10
I stayed at the Hannibal Best Western while visiting family in the area. The hotel has been recently remodeled and is now open all year! Clean, well appointed rooms in an affordable, friendly environment. The main lobby and atrium area is very comfortable and inviting - great for entertaining guests or just reading a book. The professional staff could not have been more helpful or friendly! Hot breakfast was an added bonus. There is a beautiful indoor pool and hot tub available too. Great place for a family vacation or weekend getaway. Excellent location convenient to all the sites. Extremely well maintained and there's plenty of parking. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great place to stay!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/22/09
This website was out of date when we went. They have done a complete renovation on their motel. The price was higher than advertised but the room was like new and a short walk from the sights. We could see the river from our room and would stay there again.

Enjoyed the stay
By Robert, 5/9/09
Hotel has been and still is being renovated. Very pretty and comfortable rooms. Indoor pool and hot tub are very nice. Pleasant and efficient desk staff. The breakfast was very good, hot and good room environment. Only one breakfast disappointment, no donuts or pastry but I'm too fat anyway. Had our family here for two nights and enjoyed it a lot. Close to the downtown attractions, could walk to a lot of them and to the riverfront. Very nice.

Booking a Room how hard can that be!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/29/09
every time I seem to call this place they remodeling must always call back waste of money I finally get a hold of someone for October 17th and wasn told I had to book the Friday 16 also they were only taking on that weekend 2 night bookings! Well guess I never to buisness with them or my any of my employees , they just lost a lot of business to the near by hotels.

Not so swank...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/26/09
I stayed here and the person running the front desk was offering drugs for sexual favors to the high school girls who hung out at the lobby.

Our place in Hannibal
By dcs469, 9/4/08
This was our family's second stay at the Clemens, ideally located just across the street from the historic section of the town. From the hotel it is a two minute's walk to Cardiff Hill, Muff Potter's jail site (no longer standing), the houses of Becky, Tom, and Huck (an apocryphal recent addition), Judge Clemens' office, the Mark Twain Museum (a must see), the Mississippi River, numerous antique stores, book stores, a horse-drawn wagon ride, ice-creme stores and more. The caves and lover's leap (overlooking the Mississippi) require a two or three-mile car ride -- but they are close to each other and are on the same road as the hotel. Jackson's Island is visible off the Illinois shore. From Hannibal it is best viewed from lover's leap. The room, pool, jacuzzi, and breakfast buffet were all great. The staff and other guests were all very friendly. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else in Hannibal.
