there isn't anything to dislike.. The sept trip was our 14th trip to cayman. Our 15th visit is scheduled for sept 2012. i am totally adicted to the marriott and it's wonderful staff..the rooms are meticulous.the property is kept very clean and the hotel is located in the most perfect location. right on seven mile beach and is walking distance to many restaurants and gift shops- buses run every few minutes and the bus stops right in front. but georgetown is very walkable, approx 45 minute scenic walk.. once you try the marriott, you will become addicted just like us...

This trip was wonderful. I was very sad to leave. The staff is very nice, and they definatly care about what they are doing, unlike some hotels. The beach was wonderful, it is a great snorkeling spot. If you walk down the beach to the left, you might want shoes sooner or later because one spot is a bunch of coral. I found that the island offered very many things to do, and the hotel is a great place to just relax. Not too hot and not too cold, with a nice breeze, i loved this vacation from start to finish! The food was the best i've ever had as well (I stayed at the Marriott beach Resort on the seven mile beach)

Don't even bother coming here. From the management to the receptionists, there is a consistent attitude that it they are doing YOU a favor by letting you pay them money to stay at their hotel. And far from what one would expect from the Marriott brand, they even tried to scam us! Showed up with my wife and 2 very tired children (5 and 7) with a print-out copy of a reservation of a room with two double beds. Somehow, they screwed up the reservation and tried to give us a room with one bed (for 2 adults and 2 children!) as the double bed rooms were "booked." After speaking with the manager - a conversation which involved Marriott not taking one ouce of fault despite a WRITTEN reservation from travelocity to the contrary - her best resolution was to book us in two nonadjacent king rooms and give us a "deal" on the second room. Seriously? Long story short, after hours of broken promises, misrepresentations, and child meltdowns in the lobby, we finally settled on a king bed with a sofa bed and rollout bed (which, despite multiple promises from multiple people, never came until our 5th try to get!). And to top it off, the food is well below mediocre and overpriced. Despair ye all who enter here... After we refused she somehow found one double bed room booking that was miraculously "canceled" that night Location is great, but that can be said of all other hotels here. So we showed up after a 5hour flight with two small kids.

great holiday again! our 5th visit, friendly staff (Iva was amazing). perfect spot on the beach! Perfect snorkelling & diving facilities & we just missed some bad weather. you may want to venture out for different food, the hotel restaurants are great but the island changes so quickly & there are lots of choices. the concierge gave us "good taste" the restaurant guide, and we were spoilt for choice so we booked several restaurants from our room via their website . a must! enjoy cayman!

My friend and I stayed at the Marriot on July 16th - July 20th. We felt really welcome there. We had great service and all the staff were very friendly. I would recommend the Marriot to anyone and the location was close to everything.

The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. The pool and the beach are beautiful. I had the breakfast plan and I found the service to be very good. The location is very good and walking distance to everything. I have been to at least six or seven islands. My stay on 7 mile beach at the marriott ranks with the best.

We just had our daughters wedding on beautiful 7 mile beach at the Grand Cayman Marriott Hotel. We would highly recommend this hotel for a destination wedding. From the wedding planner and staff on the beach and inside the hotel, to the food and drinks, it was great. We had about 30 people stay at the hotel and everyone commented on how clean the rooms were. The staff is very helpful in pointing you in the right direction whether you want to explore the island, rent a car, go to a restaurant or go shopping. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, breakfast places and shopping. We would absolutely stay at the Grand Cayman Marriott next time we visit beautiful 7 mile beach.

The hotel staff was very accomodating and calls you by name if they get to know you. It is well kept and clean and offers many options for dining, no matter what meal your eating or what your in the mood for. Its location is close to any attraction the Island has to offer. I also liked that the beach is located just a step outside the back door where a bar and outside restaraunt are located, and you can rent scuba gear, floats or just relax on the beach. The morning breakfast buffet was also excellent. It is a great home away from home and I will definately go back.

One of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been on. So relaxing, good drink, good food and good people...who can ask for more!
