DoubleTree Suites by Hilton - Times Square, New York

Hotel rooms are large, clean, and very nice for the area and price. However, we were overcharged at breakfast by almost a factor of two and the hotel would not make an adjustment. The street in front of the hotel is like a scene from The Inferno, but after all, it is times square.

The Double Tree Times Square was an all around great hotel for NYC. The location is in walking distance to all the good stuff nyc has to offer. My room was very clean and modern. The cookies DT offer upon check in were great!

Love the suite. Love the warm chocolate chip cookies at check-in. Love the security with doormen in lobby so interlopers cannot get in. Lots of room. Right in center of all that broadway has to offer.

The suite was roomy and very clean. The king size bed was very comfortable. The only suggestion I have is that the sofa bed needs a more comfortable mattress. The location of the hotel was great. I also liked the fact there was security on the first floor checking everyone's room key as we walked in. Walking distance to Central Park and all the theaters in Times Square. I would definitely stay there next time I am in town.

This hotel was absolutly wonderful. It had great service, the employees were kind and helpful. The location is amazing to a scary degree. You are in walking distance of almost anything, especially the fashion district and Broadway! This hotel is one of the best I've been to, ever. I plan on going back in the spring and plan on staying here. It's worth every penny.

the location is great, if you've never been to New York, and want to do the family-touristy thing. Probably good, if you're travelling on business. Clean, of course, spacious rooms, allright service , staff RUDE!!! Doubletee needs to try just a little bit harder.

i took my son and his friend to new york and stayed at this hotel. I was concerned about being there with 2 teenagers.the hotel was awesome.we were there when the power went off up and down the coast.it was very scary.we had to stay an extra 2 days because we could not get out of the city. Doubletree checked up on us all through the evening to make sure we were ok. They brought us water and cookies.the only problem we had was that we had bought tickets to see a play,and to go on the tours and we asked the hotel what to do about it and they said they would get back to us but they never did.i did think that the hotel should have cut their prices because we could not take a bath or run air conditioner. I was disapointed that we did not get that follow up call.

We really enjoyed staying at the Doubletree Suites. It's in the heart of everything, right next to the subway, and we felt very secure. The security guards always checked keys for people going into the hotel, and on the first floor there is just a bank of elevators leading to the hotel desk. From there you take another elevator to your floor. We never had to wait very long for an elevator. The hotel check-in was quick. We arrived early and they held our bags for us while we went out and when we came back we went straight to our room.(Don't forget about the warm cookies :)) Check-out was good, someone had charged a bunch of drinks to our room from the lounge--NOT US--but they promptly corrected the bill. The staff was polite and helpful,the rooms were spacious, especially for New York--and especially great with two teens, and the hotel was clean. Our room overlooked Times Square, so it was a great night view. Everyone should take their family to New York at least once...my kids can't wait to go back!

I liked this hotel because it was a dream come true. I liked its location and the room that we stayed in. I got to go there when St.Jude's Make-A-Wish List forfilled my wish.I went around Christmas time and it was awesome.

This Hotel is located in the heart of times square. If you are going to new york and your soul is younger than 50 years old, this hotel is for you. Do not stay in this hotel if you are bringing a vehicle or you are looking for being far from everything. I think the best of this hotel is whatever window systems they use, that allow you to scape from the noise. Sleeping few hours were enough to recover energy and go out to walk the city again. You will find five stars quality, if you are thinking about sleeping in good beds and being not disturb by the normal noise the city that doesn't sleep have. All this in the heart of the city. I did not try the food services there. There are about 50 places to eat, in less than 5 minutes by walk. The service in the hotel was excellent. Be awared that for security reasons, the hotel will ask you for your room's key, every single time you try to go in. The area is very safe, but Hey!... it is New York City. If you want to go party time, your options from here are endless. Arena, China Club, Fridays, Planet Hollywood, and many others are located in the same block. If you are going to a broadway theather, you better get your tickets online or by phone, but with time, do not go by walk in, you will not find anything. All broadway functions start at 8:00pm. By less than 5 mins by walk are from the hotel: NBC Studios, Saturday night tickets are free; ROCKEFELER CENTER, RADIO CITY, MTV STUDIOS, ESPN STUDIOS, ABC STUDIOS, MADISON SQUARE, EMPIRE STATE BUILDING, SAN P. CATHEDRAL, SUBWAY STATIONS, BROADWAY, 7th AVE, AMERICA AVE, 5th AVE, MACY'S, MALLS, CENTRAL PARK, PARK AVE, SKYCITY TOURS STATION (TWO LEVELS BUSES), FERRYS TO STATUE OF LIBERTY (At the 42nd St. The best way to get there in the daylight is at battery park) at night it is very cool from the 42nd, because you have the chance to see the city from East River, RESTAURANTS, FAST FOOD, HOT DOGS, ETC, DISCOTEQUES, PUBS AND BARS, MOVIE THEATHERS, MUSICAL TEATHERS And for sure more. By law, there is not alcohol for retail sale after 12:00 pm. Discoteques, pubs and bars are open until 4 or 5 am. There are this Private clubs that stay open after dark. Cigarrettes are $6.5 in average. Bring your own Carton. My experience in this hotel, my seventh time that I go to the city, was awesome. It was my first time in this hotel and next time there is not chance that I will take any other. If you are going, with car, kids and limos, get the Marriot, it is next to this one but it is in a street. It is easier to go in and out with kids. When you get out from Doubletree, you are in the heart of the city. Plenty of people walking the avenue. I wish you the best in your trip to New York City. There are not two NYC in the world. Have fun and enjoy the beatiful people and the wonderful placemarks that this city offer. Do not leave New York City without having an excellent evening.
