10 reviews for Hyatt Regency Reston, Reston
Positive experience
By Jiyan, 06/27/09
Let me preface this by saying that I’m pretty picky when it comes to hotels - I’ve stayed at some of the most notable hotels throughout the US and have been disappointed on numerous occasions. Then again, I’m not really interested in name brands - I’m more interested in a professional, well executed product. I wasn’t disappointed by the Hyatt. I've written a full review at http://www.dccityblog.com/hyatt-regency-in-reston

Wow - this is a very nice hotel
By Bobby G 55, 05/06/09
True gem of a hotel. Fantastic front desk staff - very friendly and helpfull. The hotel is beautiful - lots of marble and oak in the lobby. Guest rooms are beautiful, roomy and the beds are VERY comfortable. The Hyatt sits right in the middle of a lovely town center with plenty at least a dozen nice bars and restaurants that have courtyard or outdoor seating. I am very impressed with this hotel and will stay here again.

Best place I ever stayed!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/04/09
We spent the weekend of January 23, 2009. When we checked in we were given a coupon for 50% off at the Hotel Restaurant, (Market Street Grill), the food was awesome. The rooms were spotless and the staff was wonderful. I want to go back just to stay here even though it is 3 hours away.

Cheapness in providing service
By jacob, 07/01/08
I had a very bad experiance staying at hyatt. There was a cheapness to everything that was provided.Starting from the market grill with breakfast where the waiters and hostess were hawking the table to see what you took from the buffet to ignoring us as a family and seating guests that were standing in line behind us untill we made a stink about it.Also the room cleaning service did not stock back water in our room and did not clean the room or make the beds when we came back to the room.I do not know how you can operate a 4 diamond hotel this way. Many guests that arrived with us for the wedding from all over the world had similar experiances so I am sure that this was not an isolated incident.

Perfect and Outstanding
By Chris and Fernanda, 04/16/07
It's just a beautiful hotel with all things you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Exceptk, they are warm and friendly, unpretensious, and the staff really shows that they care in such an effortless way. The hotel's restaurant is called the Market Street Bar and Grill. It's apart of the Town Center and attached to the hotel. You would never know this is a hotel restaurant. It is highly rated and our waiter confided to us that they act within the hotel and on the street as an independent. How that works, I don't know... but it seems to work great! By the way, the crab cakes are amazing!!!

VERY Dirty Pool
By Bobbi, 02/04/07
The hotel was gorgeous, the staff and the room was very nice. We ran into a problem because we had promised my 5 year old all day that she could swim in the "nice, warm pool." Unfortunately, the pool heater was broken because someone let the water get too low and let the heater burn up. When we were told this at 2PM, I noticed debris in the corners of the pool. We were told the pool would be fixed in a couple hours. We went back at 6PM and the pool was still not warm. I let my little one swim for a few minutes because I had promised all day. The debris from earlier in the day was still there along with a hair ball the size of a golf ball that really freaked my child out. We decided to leave when a used band-aid floated right beside her. You would think such a nice place would take better care of their pool.

Excellent in Service and Quality
By wild_cherokee_rose, 12/13/06
I stayed at the Hyatt Regency for the 4th Annual National Parkinson Foundation YOPD Conference. The Staff was so very attentive, they made sure my oxygen needs were taken care of before I got there, and made sure I had special transportation for my powerized wheelchair,. Our flight did not leave until 9:30 P.M. (my mistake) on Sunday, yet the hotel let us stay until time for our flight (w/o charging an extra night) and took us to the airport in the special transport Van. The Bar and Grill in the Hotel played Jazz nightly and was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere in both the lounge area and the dinner area were wonderful, beautiful candle lighting, white lights, and the sound of jazz in the air made the evening special. It was like an early 10th anniversary special as well as a conference. Everything from Room Service to Laundry Service was excellent and went above and beyond the call of duty. The Food in the Bar and Grill was superb and all the staff that my husband and I encountered were absolutely 100 percent customer oriented. The room I was given (due to my special needs) was beautiful and did not make me feel like I was in a "special needs" accommodation room (some hotels it does feel like a hospital room). I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone. Even the entrance was charming, yet elegant hidden by carport that was covered w/ flowers and vines it was beautiful. They offer many packages at reasonable rates to tour D.C. and surrounding areas, as well as the shops and restaurants surrounding the hotel are all within a cobblestoned 6 block radius. We were also lucky enough to have our conference the same weekend that Reston had its Annual festival, so we enjoyed live Concerts and street vendors - it was wonderful! The fountain in the square alone is breathtaking!! So if you are ever in the area, I would definately recommend the Hyatt Regency in Reston VA!!! You will not regret it!

Hyatt Regency Reston Town Center
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/01/06
Despite the fact that we stayed over Christmas Eve, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of service we received. Front Desk, Bell Staff, and Concierge all were very attentive and assisted to see to our every need. The hotel is quite nice and the two rooms our group occupied had plenty of room and the linens were exceptional. The only thing I was disappointed in was that we were unable to take advantage of the brunch. There should be some availability for hotel guests over outside parties. Despite this one objection, this was overall a very good experience.
