HORRRRRIIBBBBLLLE!!!!!!
By ,
This hotel is the worst hotel to stay at. Our beds were cement, no not "like cement" or "hard as cement" but, really were cement. The water worked when it wanted to. Don't expect a shower after a late night on the beach. Our toilet would work randomly, and brown stuff would occasionally come out of the sink faucet, and the sink wouldn't drain, it was a beautiful sight. We had to ask for toilet paper and towels. Don't expect wash clothes or hand towels either...they look upon you with a blank stare. A maid service was suppose to come every day....they came once. Our phone rang off the hook. Every hour on the hour their wake up service would call, even if we didn't order wake up services. The food was awfull. I felt like I was at fat camp. I lost 15lbs in 5 days. The food looked like someone ate it then, threw it back up into the tray. The drinks were ridiculous. They were watered down and the daquries made you sick. We had bugs in our beds. I am covered in bites. They didn't have HBO either...it was porn. I think it's time for this hotel to be updated. However, the staff was incredibly friendly and spoke reasonably good english. Unfortunatly, this does not make up for the accomidations.

Will not go back !
By ,
We just came back from Cancun on 8/29/05. I have to say that the pictures they show and what they say on the internet is not 100% true. Yes, all inclusive, so what, they give you the worst on drinks. I never knew what kind of rum I was drinking, beer tested worst than water. Food OK BUT YOU HAVE TO LEARN HOW TO EAT WITH BLACK BIRDS AROUN YOUR FOOD. Service was OK. Pool was alway 100% full of people. We never had the chance to seat at the bar inside the pool. All waiters and staff were nice and helpful. Also, location is not good at all. Everything is so far away from it. For me once was OK, But I will not go back to el pueblito.

Loved It
By ,
Check out took too long. Personnel very helpful and friendly. Pool bar wonderful. Many pools to choice from. Place was kept very clean. We had alot of young people make too much noise all hours of night but that wasn't the hotel's fault, it was rude american young adults. Food was great with alot of different places and foods to choice from. A very wonderful experience and we are going back again. Beach and water more beautiful then in Maui.

Don't Do it
By ,
The descriptions and pictures of this hotel are misleading. The top lock of the door was rusted open, it did not work. The air conditioner did not work. I complained a total of four times over a 2-day period to the front desk before the air conditioner was finally repaired. We were forced to leave our clothes in another room because every time we took a shower, the shower head sprayed the entire bathroom and got our clothes wet! There was a crack at the top of the sliding glass door, like someone had tried breaking into the room. The beds were hard and the flat pillows were uncomfortable. There were little bugs everywhere on our floor. The food was terrible. Food was not available after around midnight, the drink machines were shut down, and the bars closed around 2:00 in the morning!

you get what you pay for! When we entered the room the toilet was clogged and it took a long time to have it fixed. We had to wait in line at front dest to get towels. Drinks and food were not very good.

Best value for your money
By ,
We just got back this week from El Pueblito and had one of the best times of our lives. The food is out of this world fantastic. The rooms are large, comfortable, and clean. The service and staff are absolutly five star, we were waited on hand and foot. The location and view is out of a picture postcard. El Pueblito is family oriented and has activities to fit all tastes. There is availablity to schedule and persue any interest. We were there and caught up in Hurricane Emily, which required an evacuation to a shelter. The staff rose above and beyond, continuing to provide hot meals, blankets, pillows, entertainment, etc. We were even provided a waiter to bring us refreshments. The only issue I can take note of is after leaving shelter we were to have flown out that morning. The storm prevented any departures for 18 hours. The hotel management was requiring we pay an additional charge for the room if we stayed past the check out time. However, once we explained our situation the hotel management did give us until late that evening, at no additonal charge, when our transportation was scheduled to leave for the airport and home.
