it was okay
By ,
My husband and i went to the El pueblito on our honeymoon . When we looked it up on the internet it looked affordable and gorgeous but when we arrived at the hotel it looked totaly different. The hotel was white and it wasnt colorfull like you see on there site. The staff was nice and friendly but we were a little dissapointed in the appearence. They had some activities during the day like volley ball and bingo. At night it got a bit boring because there were no activities. I would say this is a good vacation for people that want to relax. If you want to party and have acouple of drinks at night or maybe see a show i wouldnt recomend the el pueblito.

We Cant Wait to Go Back
By ,
We loved El Pueblito Hotel. The atmosphere was wonderful. Our room had a huge terrace that was so private with a beautiful ocean view. We felt like we were on our honeymoon and we had been married 15 years. The staff went beyond what they had to do. We also enjoyed the food. We will go back to Cancun and stay at El Pueblito.

HORRIBLE!!!!!!!
By ,
Horrible vacation, horrible food (what there was of it) and our rooms were outdated, without locks or a phone in daughters room. Suffered great damage from the hurricane and when questioned about it before our trip, we were told it was fine. Horrible staff, and because the hotel is half vacant without ANY entertainment at night, it was pitch black on the ground by 12 at night, and locals snuck in, made us very uneasy. Horrible experience, wouldnt recommend to my worst enemy!!

budget hotel-great service
By ,
The food was good . Both American and Mexican. The water is fine, I drank it the whole time. The service was great-remember to tip them! The drinks are weak, but speak up and they will make them stronger for you. Budget rooms, small beds bad lighting, but who cares you are outside most of the time. Safes in every room. Great location and beach!!!! Older people can't stay here, the walking area is uneven and steep. Nice pool.

Horrible

you get what you pay for! When we entered the room the toilet was clogged and it took a long time to have it fixed. We had to wait in line at front dest to get towels. Drinks and food were not very good.

GOING BACK? YES!!!!
By ,
I stayed at the El Pueblito in October of 2003. I am going back this April 2006 for my hunnymoon. My fiance' and I absolutely loved it!!! For the great price and accomodations you can't beat it. It's authentic, it's MEXICO! It's not supposed to be the Hilton! I can't believe what some of these reviews are saying. The food was awesome, especially breakfast, they have the BEST french toast ever!! The rooms were very spacious, authentically decorated, cleaned each day and we had new linens and bath towels, washcloths and hand towels each day. They even gave us complimentary bottles of water. The entertainment was awesome too. Who know a Mexican could look and dance that much like Michael Jackson? The staff were the best in the world and would get you anything you asked for at the drop of a hat. They had plenty of room at the pool for everyone and they had alot of different pools for you to choose from. The views were amazing as well. If I have to say one thing about EL that wasn't perfect, it would only be the location. But hey, who goes to Cancun without riding the bus for 70 cent? It was an awesome experience!!!

Loved It
By ,
Check out took too long. Personnel very helpful and friendly. Pool bar wonderful. Many pools to choice from. Place was kept very clean. We had alot of young people make too much noise all hours of night but that wasn't the hotel's fault, it was rude american young adults. Food was great with alot of different places and foods to choice from. A very wonderful experience and we are going back again. Beach and water more beautiful then in Maui.

Did those stayed in the same El Pueblito as me?
By ,
Just read few negative reviews on El Pueblito, and I have to say I'm stunned.. Did I stay in the same hotel? I just came back from there and honestly cannot report none of these faults. Hot water was ALWAYS running, bed linen was CLEAN and changed daily, air conditioner was WORKING all the time, and its nothing wrong with beds, they are NOT HARD, they just firm.. food was GREAT and plenty. as for the drinks.., yes they were in small glasses, but you don't need large ones, as it was so hot that the ice will melt before you had your half, so you just need to get another one, and the lovely and ever obliging waiters availiable on your foot and call any time. Scenery and views around the complex absolutelly picturesque. Best intertainment team, who tried these best to keep us awake around the pool, every night shows or trips to down town to varios and absolulely fabulous bars and clubs... Deffinately will go back and I recomend that you try this place as well. My email is esmeralda_mc@hotmail.com if further info is need it.

Forget Hilton, forget Riu Palace or Mariot, deffinatelly El Pueblito again!
By ,
The place had an exellent location - right on the white sandy beach. The layout of the complex well designed in forms small houses and appartments, like a mexican village, and that gave real charachter to the place. Bright, colourful and very authentic deco, which is ultimatelly missing from other more grand places! If I want to stay in Rits oh Hilton or Mariot, I 'll do that in London, In Cancun is great to experience a real thing. Intertaiment team are fantastic, they were doing grand job while I was there, espesially like to mention Alexa for her enourmous energy in dancing and pool aerobics, and Carlos Charlie for his motivation and alway happy attitude around the pool and in general. Selection, viriety and quality of food throughout the week was exellent, availiability of drinks as well. Overall - Exelent, definatelly will go there again!
