Great room, decent casino, so-so restaurants
The room was wonderful, the staff discreet but efficient, the buffet good. I want to try other hotels on the strip so I won't stay here next time, but overall a very positive experience. The Japonais restaurant is a total ripoff, the other restaurants unimpressive with 1980's dishes like seared Ahi tuna on whatever and coconut crusted shrimp at "Kokomos". Possibly an older and unhip clientele they're catering to. They have a California pizza kitchen but the lines are long to get in during dinner hours. The clientele is obviously hip to the other restaurants in the hotel, at least. Oh, the hamburger joint was excellent, if you can eat red meat on a Friday. Good luck if you don't, I swear next time we will take a taxi to Red Lobster, now that every casino/hotel I currently suspect have a preponderance of ripoff "gourmet" restaurants if they are not known chain restaurants like Red Lobster. The casino was a little dingy and the waitresses were surprisingly older hag types wearing what looked to be a short skirted version of the wicked witch of the west costume. I enjoyed that, as I am a heterosexual female. Bring on the kids for those of you with families.
