non somkers: beware
By Ron V, 5/26/05
* mini suite "non designated" actually means "smoking room". We had a restless night sleep. Woke up to hear the latest local murders parade on the news. * feel of "industial hospitality" * pre-pay: give them a loan with 0%, with bad terms for you. * stayed at a motel in a remote Utah town a night earlier. That motel room felt much better than this mini suite, lot cheaper too.

Great room, decent casino, so-so restaurants
By beatlemaniac, 1/27/10
The room was wonderful, the staff discreet but efficient, the buffet good. I want to try other hotels on the strip so I won't stay here next time, but overall a very positive experience. The Japonais restaurant is a total ripoff, the other restaurants unimpressive with 1980's dishes like seared Ahi tuna on whatever and coconut crusted shrimp at "Kokomos". Possibly an older and unhip clientele they're catering to. They have a California pizza kitchen but the lines are long to get in during dinner hours. The clientele is obviously hip to the other restaurants in the hotel, at least. Oh, the hamburger joint was excellent, if you can eat red meat on a Friday. Good luck if you don't, I swear next time we will take a taxi to Red Lobster, now that every casino/hotel I currently suspect have a preponderance of ripoff "gourmet" restaurants if they are not known chain restaurants like Red Lobster. The casino was a little dingy and the waitresses were surprisingly older hag types wearing what looked to be a short skirted version of the wicked witch of the west costume. I enjoyed that, as I am a heterosexual female. Bring on the kids for those of you with families.

They be my first choice Again!
By Cheryl, 5/19/05
I just returned after three days at the Mirage. It was fabulous. The atmosphere was tropical, the service was wonderful, friendly dealers and staff, beautiful pools and their restaurants were quality all the way, though their prices were a bit on the high side. Could use firmer pillows.

Never Again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/14/07
Rooms were not clean, toilet didn't flush well, would not accommodate 2 rooms next to each other for my teenage boys. Checked in at 1:00 and waited 2 hours for rooms - you would think they could have been a little more customer service oriented and considered the liability factor in not putting our rooms next to each other. Employees were somewhat rude. Rooms extremely overprice. Will stay at the other end of the strip next time. The rooms are much nicer and a much better deal.

The Best
By A, 5/23/05
I fell in love with the Mirage during my first visit in 1998. I have stayed in many hotels worldwide and in the States but the Mirage is like coming home every time. Their rooms are clean and very comfortable. I love their guest registration area and most of all the pool. It is in a lush setting and it feels like being in a tropical paradise, especially in Vegas where the heat can reach above 100 in the summer, I love being under the lush vegetation. They also have excellent restaurants as well. I personally love it and I have stayed at other luxury hotels in Vegas and always go back to the Mirage.

I am hooked on the Mirage
By Kricket, 12/29/05
This was our first time to Las Vegas and I absolutely loved The Mirage. My favorite thing about The Mirage is their pool area. It was where we spent a lot of our time. We walked through almost every hotel in Vegas and I was so happy we decided to stay at The Mirage. A lot of the other hotels made me feel dirty and grimey after walking through them. And on the other end some made me feel like I was in a hospital they were so cold and sterile. I LOVE THE MIRAGE. It is warm and inviting and clean and just has a great aura about it. We are going back this year and staying at The Mirage again.

Great cocktail service
By Rebecca H., 9/26/05
The Mirage pool has lots of nice areas and like every Vegas pool you must arrive in the early morning to get a good lounge chair with a view. There are some nice little niches in the pool area to hide away in which is nice My favorite aspect is the cocktail service which was very good; quick, friendly and fast. My girlfriend and I went through 3 cocktail waitress shifts one day and each waitress was punctual in bringing us our drinks.

somewhat pricey
By daveg, 4/23/06
my overall experience was adequate. stayed in a tower deluxe room for $250 per night. room was nice but i felt over priced. the buffet was fine, however not sure the value was their, as it was $18 for the lunch buffet. visited the spa several times. it was very nice and service their was superb. overall a satisfactory experience, but no driving feeling that i must return. of the hotels i have stayed out, which are many, i feel as though the Venetian has been unparalleled.
