FANTASTIC
By ,
The staff were very polite and laid back, nothing was a problem. The room was immaculate, loved the heated marble bathroom floor, the little details made every penny worth it!!!!Went for my Husbands 40th birthday, and we had a great bottle of wine waiting for us in our room, compliments of the management.Loved it. Would definately reccomend it to anyone.

Perfect location but annoying details
By ,
Excellent location in the city core (Rusland St.), within short walking distance to Dam, Muziektheater and Red Light District. Stryking architecture, large interior courtyard with full height atrium, the bar is housed in an old Dutch style townhouse embedded in the hotel. The annoying details: the bathroom threshold in my room (415) was very high, practically an accident waiting to happen. The Grohe sink faucet was showing its age, for E300/night (the so called "deluxe" room) one expects better. The bathtub is narrow, they could use the curved shower curtain bars available in any mid-range american hotels. The fluorescent lighting in the bathroom, elegantly hidden, flutters wildly for a good 5 seconds before actually turning on. The gym (compact but functional, hidden in the basement) closes too early at 10pm. The breakfast (at E25) is very good but not exceptional, fruit selection is sub-par. Nice touches: umbrellas available at the concierge (a must have item in Amsterdam), freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. The hotel can be hard to find by car if one is not familiar with the city, even with GPS assistance. It's best to call for directions. Highly recommended for location and personality (but watch your step in the bathroom!)

cozy
By ,
My husband and I stayed here a few years ago and found it to be very delightful. Our room had luxurious down comforters which made it seem cozy and like sleeping on a cloud. We also found that we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. To the museums and walks along the canals. Definitely would come here again!! Joanne Fox USA

A Really Great Place
By ,
We stayed there a year ago, for 10 days, while checking out an annual event that comes each Nov. The location was great, the staff was wonderful to us, and the hotel & rooms were very nice, neat, and comfortable. Hotel security in this beautiful, glass atrium hotel... located right in the Red Light District.. is both discreed and reassuring. We had such a wonderful time that I was going thru their Site for a possible second visit... and remembered that I had forgotten to write a Review from my last stay there. Though I was there on business, the hotel`s convenient location makes it great for tourist of all ages, as well. Whether looking for a great meal... or a visit to one of the nearby "Coffee Houses."
