nice rooms
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/21/11
We took a short trip around the White Mountains to view the leaves and the weekend was spent staying at The Top Notch. The staff was very helpful and provided us with lots of directions for viewing and also for looking for moose. We stayed in one of the recently redone rooms - very nice and very affordable. And without the crowds.

Great Getaway
By k, 3/18/11
We had a great time while staying at the Top Notch Inn in Gorham. We were in the area to hike and enjoy the serenity of the area. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very nice. My husband and I went on some beautiful hikes and we were very tired in the evenings. We slept like logs all night and were refreshed for our next day's adventure. Thanks for great memories!!

Top Notch Inn offers value for the price---walking distance to restaurants is good---rooms are comfortable---grounds/gardens are eye catching. We highly reccomend this hotel~

Won't go back
By Brian, 7/9/08
My wife called ahead before booking and was told that the pool was heated. When we arrived and found that it wasn't she complained at the front desk. She was told that the pool was "heated by the sun." She received equally snotty responses to her other complaints. The other big complaint was that the advertised wireless internet was not available in our room on any of the three nights we were ther.

what a rip-off !!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/16/07
my two chilsren stayed here while we were up in the area for a family wedding. this site show $150 as the most expensive two bed room. we were told our rate included our triple a discount AND another discount because they rented so many rooms for the same wedding. so how come with those two discounts my kids STILL paid $150 EACH nite !!????? incidentally, my wife and i stayed at a nearby b&b for the same price with a jacuzzi AND a homemade country breakfast !! my kids were jelous !!

A cut below
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/14/07
We were attracted to this hotel by its' location and the advertisement of recent upgrades. We found the room clean, but with a 60's decor that NEEDS some attention. There was nothing special about the room and the bathroom was cramped to a point of being disfunctional. We paid about $100 a night for this which I find a bit steep for what is being offered. The town of Gorham itself is taking on the feel of decay. Many of the restaurants we frequented on past visits are closed and for sale. There is little to celebrate here, which is surprising because of the town's strategic location. We found this hotel to be a bit below our expectations with no glaring faults but with little to celebrate either. Future visits will likely find us staying in North Conway.

Uncomfortable and Overpriced
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/3/06
Didn't like our stay, front desk was very rude to us when we checked in, we paid more for our room than our friends did, and our friends room was nicer! when I asked why we paid more, the receptionist said, our room was quieter than our friends room! huh? seems they ask a higher price and if you don't complaine then you pay top $$$! Room was small and bed was uncomfortable! will not recomend! Diane from Framingham MA
