Imagine the worst RV park you have ever stayed at....it's likely a LOT better than this place, unless you like flies and dirt. There is no grass in sight, not exactly uncommon for the desesrt, but it is just plain bland. Upkeep of the park is non existent. WIFI is available at select spots within range of the restaurant. Trees are sparse and none over ten feet tall. The laundry is about a 1/4 mile hike depending on where you park it may be up to a half of a mile. Showers are $2.00 for six minutes if you plan to use their showers. I have to admit the showers/bathrooms are nice, I guess since no one uses them. There is an adjacent horse stable which provides an abundance of fllies to add to your outdoor AND indoor dining experience. And if you can believe it, there is no pool at the motel or RV park. Can you imagine an RV park in SW Texas WITHOUT a pool? There is absolutely nothing to do on site..unless you are a heavy beer drinker..there is plenty of that going on. It is however, agood location to headquarter to visit Big Bend. It's just unfortunate the place is not better maintained. It serves the purpose, particularly since there is no other RV park for larger rigs except the Rio Grande campground in Big Bend. It is completely at the other end of the park where there's not a lot to do. So, enjoy if you dare stare here.
Hey, this place is the best (outside the park). Got a good RV park behind the Motor Inn. A Greasy Spoon restaurant next door serves great eggs & stuff. I love Big Bend, and I call this Inn my second home. Not far from Terlingua ghost town, and the famous Starlite cafe.
