59 reviews for Hilton Waikoloa Village, Waikoloa
This place was very nice
By RODNEY, 10/29/09
We really enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Waikoloa. The lagoon had very good snorkling, pools for adults and children. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The only thing we didn't care for was that there was a coffee maker in the room, but only one cup was free.

Another Day in Paradise
By Brian, 10/12/09
This Waikoloa Village was incredible. The property itself was amazing, yes it is very big and spread out but it seemed that you discovered something new with every step. This place was paradise in every sense of the word. The only downfall being that i wasn't there long enough. very clean. very friendly and helpful employees. Pools were great. Golf Courses challenging.

dig it
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/08/09
I have read the reviews of other people. Yeah, it's a big hotel and you can walk, ride the boats or train and might take some time, but was not usually a problem. "Takes time," so what. People comment, "if you are in a hurry ... " Why would you be in a hurry in paradise? My room was good, clean and cozy. Yep, the birds can descend and chirp up a storm. Again, so what. It was sort fun to listen to them. I agree, prices for meals, beers, bottle waters was a rip. That is why I always went up to the King/Queen Village stores. Just up the street. Big super duper ABC store with a fresh food deli. Cold beer and such. All at a reasonable price. Oh, expensive restaurant? For sure, but you should see the trillion dollar view while dining outside at sunset. I mean, this is not McDonalds in a congested city. It's paradise, and sorry, but sometimes you have to pay extra. Staff at the hotel was alway friendly and nice to me. But then again, I was not in a big hurry and uptight about having to take my time. I was on vacation. The lagoon is ocean fed and had really cool turtles to snorkel with. If you want to hang loose, are not in a "hurry" and just want to have fun, this is a very relaxed place. And the sunsets were incredible.

Too Big
By MarkF, 07/26/09
The grounds were beautiful but the rooms were only mediocre. The facility is so large that going anywhere or leaving the grounds was a chore. It is designed too keep you there and the prices of EVERYTHING is ridiculously high-even by Hawaiian standards. Numerous extra charges; parking is $15 dollars a day.

Nice property wish i could say other good things
By kauaiboi1001, 05/06/09
very poor service from front desk, bellmen and dining staff. The beauty of it all may blind you from that but not for me. I loved the amenities of the grounds especiall the pools spent my days there but thats about all. Love the porpoise show.

Not for us
By KENNETHR, 03/17/09
For anybody that wishes to only stay at the hotel, this is the place for you. So large that nothing was close to our room, we found this hotel to be too large. The front desk, restaurants, and parking lot were no where near our room. The only thing close to us were the hundreds, if not thousands, of birds that put in a 5 AM wake up call each day. They sounded like they were in the room with us. We did not appreciate the half hour walk to the car. Artwork, lagoon, landscaping and such are superb. Front desk personal were a little stiff, but the rest of the staff was exceptional.

Beautiful!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/28/09
I absolutely loved this place! They had so many beautifel pools that were so much fun to swim in! The rooms were very clean and modern. We had so much fun here that I would stay even a week here! The only complaint that i would have is that you take either the tram or a boat to the section of the hotel since it is so big. It was fun at first, but after a while it gets tireing. We were on the farthest side so it took about 30 min. just if we forgot one thing to go back to our room and back again. So if you don't want to waiste alot of time, I would recoment getting a close room to the lobby!:) The people were very friendly.

love it for kids
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/08/08
We loved the tram and the boatrides. My son also loved the lagoons you can swim in(filled with fish, turtles, etc.) and the pools with slides. We paid kamaaina rates so the price was okay. The room was standard, but it is the grounds that are fabulous. Not much nightlife, mostly families and couples. Beautiful place to just relax. The resort prices of food/drinks are pretty steep, though. But if you rent a car, you can go elsewhere to eat.

Pre Construction Deal
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/20/08
I purchased this timeshare in November 2006. It was at a great price and has appreciated well. I will visit next year, though I'm really looking forward to seeing what we (my wife & I) have to look forward to. All in all: we have a timeshare at the Hilton Hawaiian Village on Waikiki Beach and here at Kingsland (Waikoloa). These two places are our vacation spots for the rest of our lives... and we're only 40. Heel up the great work Conrad Hilton. George Provencher
