These guys are crooks
By ,
They said they would charge me X amount including taxes and the next morning I get a piece of paper slid under my door for 20 dollars more. Even better I checked my card and they charged me 10 dollars on top of the 20 dollars more. I didn't sign for any of it so I hope to fight it, but I was angry enough to write this report. I highly doubt I was an isolated event because I spoke with two other guests who stayed their on multiple occasions because of the price, but always asked for final printouts as per bad previous experiences. To boot the A/C didnt work and they forgot to give me a wake up call Fail

Great hotel staff/great location
By ,
Loved the staff - they took care of my every need. Rooms were very clean and breakfast was great. Most rooms appear to be suites with a living area off the bedroom. Great value and great rates. Loved the extra room. Hotel is in a super location. Shopping and restaurants are within walking distance, although it is better to drive. Super easy access to downtown, beaches and other attractions...took me less than a 10 minute drive to anywhere. Again, the staff is super and will do anything for you. Would go back again!

Stay if you only need a bed to sleep in.
By ,
For what they offer, this hotel is overpriced. Check in took too long, the type of room we booked was not available (requested bunk bed, got a very uncomfortable sofa bed), breakfast left a lot to be desired and housekeeping was slow and inadequate. I would not recommend this hotel.

overpriced for rooms provided
By ,
I didn't enjoy my stay here. First off, I confirmed twice while on the road that the room I reserved was the room I was getting, which was a suite, and they said yes. WhenI arrived, they checked me in to a regular room but still charged me in the end for a suite for that night! Their "free breakfast" isn't worth it. They are too cheap to put meat out on the buffet line. It's all breads and milk, and waffles. Not worth it at all. for a place like this, their rates are ridiculously high. I would expect 99 or less a night, not 199 a night for a holiday weekend. Here are some flaws with the room: -box cutter blade cuts in wall paper -wall paper has bubbles in it, indicating water damage or humidity damage -dresser for clothes had terrible markings on it and was not properly cleaned -scuff marks on all furniture. -I swear to God--when i pulled the sheets down to check the bed, one single strand of hair was underneath the comforter layer. -No toothbrush or toothpaste provided Staff isn't as friendly as they should be, to be honest. A smile wouldn't kill them either. I mean, if you hate your job that much, leave. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Never Again!!!
By ,
I would not recommend this hotel to others. This hotel is full of unruly, obnoxious people. Kids run wild, screaming and yelling until all hours. Grown adults stand in hallways screaming and yelling. I contacted the front desk and was advised the security guard wasn't here yet. The next day I went to see the manager, but he doesn't arrive for another 2 days. The front desk clerk advised that parents are supposed to supervise their children, and if they don't no one will. If you want a nice quiet place to stay on your visit to San Diego this is NOT IT!

Do not stay at this hotel...
By ,
We stayed at this hotel for five days on a birthday trip for my daughters turning five and seven. Booked two suites and spent alot of money only to come home with what our doctor told us was mite bites that he was sure came from unproperly cleaned bedding. The hotel denies anything came from their room but the proof was in the bites and they checked it days after we checked out in which time I would hope they had changed the bedding we were not so lucky. Nightmare... do not stay at this hotel. Management did nothing to help our situation.

Never again!
By ,
I stayed at this hotel for a week while on a business trip. Working long days I looked forward to relaxing in the spa in the evening...There must have been 10 little kids splashing around in the spa. I had to wait an hour before finally most of them got out and there was room for adults. So if you want to stay in an adult environment don't go to this hotel! I was told it is family friendly, that's fine to a point but not in the late evening when adults like to relax. Also the elevators are to slow.

Good for the $$
By ,
At the time of our checkin, there were only 3 people other people in line. However there was only one staff mebmer working behind the counter. This was a 3-day weekend and there was No Vacancy. I felt that there should have been more people working at the counter. I waited for 35 minutes before it was my turn to check in. Once we got in our room, the room was clean but was very small for a suite. There was no room to move around nor to put our all bags in the suites. However there were plenty of drawers for our things.Though the suite was very small, it was neat. The parent's room was divided by a french door. The kid's room was a bit biger, and had a bunk baed with a small table next to it. Our firdge did not work and the front desk did not do anything to try to fix it. For the price we paid for the suite, we couldn't really complain. The copm breakfast selections were very slim. The hour of the free brakfast was also very short. If you plan on sleeping in, forget the free brakfast. The staff in the brakfast room was not at all frindly. Right at the closing time, she shut the door and did not care if anyone was finished with their meal. Good thing we got everything out of the room before she shut the door. The location was excellent. We walked to the restarants in the area all 3 nights we were their.

Nice Place! We are going back!
By ,
We loved our stay here and especially liked the scenery surrounding the place. The room we had was very nice, and us 4 adults and one child loved the pool. This stay was in 6/2003 and we are going to stay here again in 7/2005.

No problem for price
By ,
This was a nice hotel for the price. Although I would like to see a restraunt at the hotel, none was promised. The kids wanted to stay an extra day, so we did. This hotel is close to Sea World and the Zoo. In addition, it is close to restraunts and shopping.
