Not the greatest
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/11
We arrived for a wedding and the check in was ok but the biggest problem was there are only two elevators in this hotel and one was working at the time. This was a bit of an issue because the hotel was booked solid for three weddings. The next problem was the hot water could burn you. Nothing was done about this. Taking a show was an adventure to say the least. Next the air conditioning sucked. Then to top it off they must not have any security, because all through the night people who were drunk were making noise in the hallway so sleep for me was difficult. I have stayed at much better hotels not worth the $194.00 I paid for one night.

Gorgeous Hotel , Horrible Staff
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/15/11
The hotel is beautiful. However i have never met a more inappropriate front desk manager, she made a few extremely inappropriate comments to my husband while I was in the room. I would hope a hotel as nice as the Omni would find someone to better represent their company, especially someone in the management position. Aren't there policies about employees having relationships with guests and staff. Overall the entire situation will make me never return to any Omni hotel and I will make sure other people know not to go there, at least not if your married.

Great Place to stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/9/10
Had jury duty in Philadelphia & stayed at the Omni 1 night. Was very clean & my room was large & fabulous. The bed was very comfortable. I had a corner room on the 12th floor & the view was great. They are located at a great place for sight seeing. Staff was very friendly & helpful. It's a good idea to apply for their Select Guess benefit, it's complimentary. Some of the perks are free Wi-Fi, free morning paper, a choice of 2 beverages in the AM delivered to your room when you want it & free bottle of water. I would definately stay here again

Bad time
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/18/10
As a buisness owner I have to say I am more than angry with the way this staff treated it's guests. I attended a wedding event here for a college and watched as the staff became increasingly rude to the guests and the vendors servicing my friends wedding. The site coordinator who I believe her name started with a T, was rude and snotty and angry it seemed for no reason, storming in and out of rooms bad mouthing the photographers who were good friends with the bride and were treated like garbage. A candle caught fire to some ribbon and almost burned up the wall. The coordinator was no where to be found when she was needed most then at some point never even came back. I'm glad I didn't stay at the Omni and I would never return to this or any Omni as my experience has marred the name for me completely.

Great Deal for Dinner and room
By Miguel, 8/23/06
We decided to go into the city on a slower night and were surpised when the reservationist offered a package which included dinner at the famous Buddakan( spelling?) as well as complimentary valet parking. The staff was very accommodating and the staff was great. Buddakan was very trendy and lived up to the billing the atmosphere is cool and the food was excellent. A great deal if you care to spend a Sunday in the City.

Doesn't get any Better then this
By Miguel, 6/28/06
This hotel has one of the friendlies staffs I have ever encountered. From the moment we arrived everyone was extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us find our way. The hotel is located only a block from the Liberty Bell and all of the best attractions in the city. My kids were so excited to meet Ben Franklin in the lobby and the brunch was off the hook. Can't wait to go back and see their new Spa later this month. An awesome deal and great location

NOT a 4 Star Hotel!!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/06
We stayed at the Omni because a "deal" was offered on Expedia. Even though we had a reservation at the Sheraton near the Philadelphia Museum, we switched to the Omni, thinking it would be nicer at the same price (with taxes, around $200). Check in was fine, and some of the staff were very friendly and courteous. We returned late, tired, and were looking forward to a restful sleep. But there was a loud motor near the room that ran for about 3 minutes every half hour or so throughout the night. This was some sort of air-conditioning equipment associated with the hotel building itself--not street noise (we were on the 10th floor). We called the desk to complain and ask for a room switch. They acted like this was the first time they'd heard of the noise problem, which I'm pretty sure is a regular feature of this particular room. Also, of course, they claimed that there were no other rooms available. So we got very little sleep. In the morning, my partner went down to the manager to try to get the rate adjusted because of our uncomfortable night. The manager said that there would be no charge at all for the room, but that we'd have to contact Expedia to clear the charge. Apparently this procedure is very complicated...we haven't been able to resolve it yet. Maybe that's the intention? Expedia said they tried to contact the manager...but no luck so far. It looks like lots of our time (valuable time!) will be wasted on this. Will it be resolved? Who knows. But the "4 Stars" rating for this hotel is totally bogus. Not recommended.

So cool!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 3/29/06
When my high school went to Philadelphia for our annual band trip, I was so excited. I had looked at pictures of the place before we left, and I was expecting it to be amazing. Actually, it was the best part of the whole trip. The staff was very nice to us and the rooms were exceptionally clean. The pool and hot tub was good. The only part I didn't like was when you got back in the pool after you had been in the hot tub. What a chill! The restaurant was really nice. The gift shop was cool too. The location was awesome. We had a great view of the park from our room, and it was close to all of the historic sites that we visited. The rooms were big and open, and the bathroom was big too. We got a newspaper every morning, and the maids cleaned every day while we were out. They even folded the toilet paper! The weird part was that there was a phone in the bathroom right next to the toilet. Fortunately, it was a different line. The phones also had voice mail. That was a major plus. All in all, the hotel was amazing.

Always the best!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/3/05
We go to Philadelphia several times a year and always stay at the Omni. The location is its best feature. Everything in the city is easily accessible and there are plenty of restaurants and coffee bars within walking distance. The rooms are comfortable and the service is fine.

THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL IS GREAT
By Tanya, 7/19/05
I loved the Front Desk Agent. She was there both when I checked in (Sunday) and again when I check out the next day. I was really suprised to see her first thing in the morning when I did my run at 7am. I asked her if you did a double and she told me. She had a little bit of sleep. But, By her face you wouldn't of known it. She was very helpful and new where all the different resturants and things going on in the area and the times too. Gave my husband and I information on the show at the Liberty Bell and told us where the best place to eat and then make the show too. I would love to come back to the hotel again, on a weekend get-away like that and talk to her about what else in the city I can do. Should have more agents like her that can help guest and give them many things to pick from. The male agent that was with her didn't know much about the hotel and should be a little bit more helpful. But, other then that. The hotel was lovely and I will tell all my friends to come.
