Location not great
Upon arrival the staff couldn't find our reservation, but they were able to accomodate us anyway. The staff was a bit frosty at first, but significantly warmed up after we decided to stay a second night.
The room was large with 2 queen size beds and a small kitchen with fridge and microwave. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean. The hotel shows some signs of aging but seems well maintained.
Breakfast was a laugh - the bagels and pastries were at least 2-days old and little else was offered. I saw some people with fruit yoghurt, but by the time we came down at 9:00am those were gone already. They do not have a dining room so you sit in the hotel lobby with your plate on your lap. They would do better to cancel breakfast altogether and give you a discount on the room rates.
I would say the biggest draw back is that the hotel is 1 hour drive from the valley floor in Yosemite and that Oakhurst doesn't offer much when it comes to restaurants (mostly pizza-parlor/fast food type places). The town does offer 2 large supermarkets, a department store and several gas stations.
I would stay there again if I couldn't find anything closer to Yosemite.
