Converted Holiday Inn is too big for the clientele, which means the staff is too spread out to be efficient. The property could be cleaner, and I'm not sure what product they use for cleaning but it leaves a sticky residue. The pool is not open. For the money I'd rather have gone to the other Motel 6 property five minutes away on Hwy 11.
I stayed in the Fall of 2008 for a mere $33 a night. Room was very large, quite clean, everything was in good shape, staff was VERY friendly. Even left brochures for local attractions in my room each day. Would easily stay again. Literally 200 feet from the off ramp, but sits back, so it's not noisy. Restaurants less than a mile away.
Basic motel, decent price. Fairly clean but not fancy.
Coffee in the morning at the office but no continental breakfast. The bed was very comfortable. Quiet.
We stayed here as a family with a small dog. We loved it! There was pleantly of space for everyone. Lots of grassy areas to walk the dog. Met the manager, who was a joy. The front desk team was helpful, giving us directions (we are from out of state). There were many brochures to look through. Great weekly rate. Close to many things. Very happy with our stay. Loved the lay out being many buildings, not an uncomfortable 2 story motel. Can't say enough good things about it! Would stay here again.
The room I had was very clean, the beds were also quite comfortable. The rate was very good, very affordable. It was also pretty quiet, especially considering I had 'neighbors' on both sides of me and the motel is near I-81.
The only drawbacks were they charge a small fee to use the Internet service and there are only about 16 cable TV channels. But it's close to the center of Carlisle, which is a neat little town to venture into to do some exploring.
