Needs Attention

This hotel was in desperate need of a handyman with some tools and a better cleaning staff. Some remodeling had been done in our room but the finish carpentry was never really completed. The molding around the ceiling needed to be nailed back up,a hole had been cut in the bathroom wall for an access panel to the jacuzzi plumbing and was filled in with styrofoam, the area where the jacuzzi had been installed wasn't finished around the bottom. I've never had a hotel room that had an attic access panel visible over the bathroom vanity which didn't give me a feeling of being very secure. Overall, the room was a disaster.
As for the cleaning, our beds were made the second day so we knew someone had come in to clean; but, it was strange that the cover to a lady's razor which was on the bathroom floor when we arrived remained in the same place after our room had supposedly been cleaned. I was not impressed with the overall cleanliness of this facility.
The layout of the room was definitely not user friendly. We could only view the tv from the bed since the couch was placed directly next to the armoir which housed it.Our telephone was placed on top of the armoir all the way across the room from the bed. Both days we had to plug in the bedside lamp on one side of the bed, I guess the cleaning person used that outlet for the vacuum and couldn't plug the light back in when he/she was finished.
