Worst place I've ever been!
By Micker, 07/13/08
There were so many things that went wrong durring my stay at the Econo Lodge. -The TV did not work -There was only one light in the room and it was in the corrner -It smelled terrible -It was not clean at all -There were bugs in the bathroom -I even found bugs in my bed After finding the bugs in my bed I was out of there. I had not even stayed 4 hours yet and I wanted to leave. So i went right down the street to another hotel that was much nice. I strongly recommend that you do not stay here!!

Excellent

I liked the location, just off I-70 and Third Street (US 41). The rooms were clean and quiet and there were were two excellent restaurants (Lone Star and Cracker Barrel) within walking distance.

Didn't get past the front door!
By Carrie, 02/07/06
It was close to midnight when I drove up to the Econo Lodge. The place was somewhat dark and uninviting, but I proceeded to the front door to check in. I noticed the hotel doors had outside entry, rather than a security door leading to a hallway, where you would then access your hotel room. Online, the price was listed as $39.00+tax, but that turned out not to be the case. The door was locked and there was a dirty plexi-glass window through which I was expected to talk and check-in. I first asked the price, which the very young, and clearly disgruntled employee replied, "$54.00". I commented that the online price listed was only $39.00 and he said he won't honor that price, so I left the dirty little window and proceeded next door to the Pear Tree Inn, which was extremely clean and only cost $59.00 + tax for much better service and accomodations.

Very good access to Interstate and directions very clear. Check In and Out easily accomplished. Older hotel but in pretty good condition. Would stay there again.
