Comfort Inn North, Toledo

stayed in 2006 and 2007, pet friendly hotel. debated whether to stay here in 2008. finally decided to, since no other pet friendly hotels in the area. much to our surprise, many improvements, made by new manager. so very glad my husband talked me into re-booking here for another year. clean, cheery looking room. no complaints whatsoever!! will re-book in 2009, for our annual trek to toledo. so check it out, reasonably priced, clean, breakfast free, friendly manager and staff.

The Comfort Inn on Alexis Road in Toledo, Oh is close to my Mother's house and the price is reasonable. I've stayed there at least 5 times. I've never been real pleased with the upkeep or the location in the parking lot of a boarded up shopping mall, but the proximity to Mom's house has kept me coming back. That all ended on my last visit. We checked into our room early Friday evening for a two night stay. We dropped off our luggage and headed out to dinner. Upon arriving back at our room around 11 PM we discovered that the door was unlocked and, in fact, there was no way to lock it from the outside because it wouldn't latch. Since it was late at night we waited until morning to report the problem. At the check-in desk the next morning we were told that they already knew about the problem. I have several gripes in addition to the fact that the lock wouldn't work. We talked with several people at the front desk over the course of the morning. No one was especially concerned that we wouldn't be able to lock our room for the day. We eventually had to haul all of our stuff back to our car so as not to worry about getting it stolen. After 3 visits to the front desk we were told we could have another room when one became available. No apologies were ever given for not telling us about the problem or for our inconvenience. We won't be coming back to this motel.

I stayed here a couple times, and it is clean but it is old. I get the GM discount and every time I went it was a different price. I looking for a new hotel today.

This visit was my second stay within the past two years. With this visit not anywhere near as pleasant as the first. The room was musty,smelly, and not very clean. Could very easily have been one of the "out of repair rooms". Maidservice was lackluster at best, and hotel staff not very professional. The potential for improvment is there, but I'll reserve my choice until then.

This was a good hotel to go to. it could be a little bit cheaper though. The service was good. The breakfest that they served was also pretty good.
