Ambassador Motor Inn, Ballarat

After reading a not very complimentary review my husband & I thought it sounded like there may have been some sort of dispute between the owner & reviewer but chose to check it out for ourselves & we have to say we are glad we did. The room had recently been refurbished, with newly tiled bathrooms, new carpets & LCD televisions, so the claims nothing has been done here are definately false. The rooms were very clean & on entering the room it was noticable how warm the room was. The owner explained later the heating was hydronic & I can assure you its very effective. I mentioned to the owner about a review from someone from Hanoi & his immediate response was that he had no idea who it would be as he had certainly had no one from Hanoi stay at the establishment & actually checked the computer to no avail. So from that point of view it seems wrong that people can actually anonomously degrade & slander without fear of recrimination. The guests on 1 side of us indicated they were regular guests & loved staying there as they were always made welcome & enjoyed a chat with the owners as well. We have no qualms in recommending the Ambassador & will certainly be staying there on our return to Ballarat
