Nice Budget Accomodation

The hotel is clean, I think the negative reviews on this site are from people who stayed there prior to obviously new renovations. The hotel had everything we needed including a nice workout facility and access to a nightclub and a pub. Perfect location for someone looking to see all of Edmonton rather than just West Edmonton Mall.

Best staff in the city!!

Never in my life have I seen a hotel with such a friendly staff. A great value for your money and the rooms are quite large. I stay every time I go to Edmonton.

not a bad hotel

the Argyll Plaza hotel was a nice hotel. The restaurant had good food and the free continental breakfast was great as i was working in the area and stayed there for 2 weeks with the company I worked for. The rooms were not fancy but always cleaned when we got back, and the staff were friendly to us. All-in-all I would stay at this hotel again in the future!

Disgusting

We won a free 2 night stay at the Argyll Plaza hotel. We checked in and stayed for 2 hours and then checked out and paid for our own hotel elsewhere. The traffic going by was exttremely loud, and there was a night club next door, we could only imagine how annoying that would get when we were trying to sleep. The room was dirty, and the service was unfriendly. To top it off the "adventure package" (advertised and available from the hotel) for West Edmonton Mall that we had also won was only available to be used on weekdays - and nobody told us that when we called to make reservations for the weekend! Even though it was free it was not worth it.

No frills, far from W. Ed mall

We checked in with a very rude front desk worker who didn't even acknowledge that we were waiting. She then advised us that the room we had requested was smoking whereas I had specifically asked for nonsmoking. The only nonsmoking room available was one with a stain on a dresser, which we took since she advised we'd be charged whether we stayed the night, or not. Once in the room we found a totally bare (no pictures) room that hadn't been thoroughly clean. The location is more of an industrial-type area and approximately 15 minutes from W. Ed mall. I was suprised to find this hotel recommended on the mall's website. Needless to say, I would not go back to this hotel!
