Comfort Inn Legacy, Norfolk

My husband and I celerbrated our anniversary in Norfork, we went on the spirit of norfolk. the check in was easy,REASONABLE PRICE. easy to find, close, parking and only 7.00 dollars a night, staff was friendly, room was clean.nice king size bed, bathroom was small but thats no big dea,l close to where we had to go. check out was easy, would stay there again.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Norfolk Plaza in one of their suites. I was so amazed at how beautiful the place was and how th Employees were so helpful. I really enjoyed my stay there and would recommend them to anyone! Excellent deal for the price. I will be staying at this hotel again!

Norfolk Plaza Hotel is now independently owned, as Radisson pulled out a year ago. The hotel dates to 1965, and was built as part of the downtown revitalization near the Scope/Chrysler Theater. It was clearly a prominent landmark at one time, that is now dated and eclipsed by more modern hotels nearer the waterfront. The hotel is going through a major overhaul, however, and the renovated rooms were beautiful- clean, modern, no complaints. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. The renovation did not cause any disturbance during our stay, as they are working floor by floor. The restaurant was fine and the hotel is very convenient to downtown. Desk staff was helpful and attentive to our needs. The surrounding neighborhood, like the hotel, has seen better days and is somewhat rough around the edges. But we never felt unsafe. Free parking (which is hard to come by in downtown Norfolk!). Most other patrons were businessmen, pilots, etc.

This is a really great conveniently located hotel with great staff. That man below made a comment about a parking garage? There isn't one! The staff is very friendly. I loved eating in the restaurant. Very good choices. And I got room service really late! The staff was good to me and my room was very clean.

The hotel was dirty and dingy - moldy, wallpaper peeling off walls, either scalding hot water or no hot water. Staff left much to be desired. They were downright rude at times and didn't seem to care about fixing problems. It took almost an hour to get an extra blanket and pillow. Room was not cleaned and ready for check-in until 9 p.m. Everything about the experience was negative. Would not recommend staying there! It needs major renovation and major training in customer service.

this hotel is a disgrace to the Radisson name. i had made my reservation several weeks in advance for a tower room . when i arrived on 9/6//07 the manager milton told that all the rooms in the tower was taken. he gave me a room in the "terrace". it was in a dark dirty basement area which screamed "crime scene waiting to happen". when i refused to take the rooms offered milton attitude was take it or leave it. he said don't blame me, blame the person who gave you the reservation! i had my 4 y/o gdaug. with me and he did not care. the norfolk radisson is a major dump really like a 3rd world country hotel. i recommend that these owners lose their fanchise& milton get fired.

The rooms were nice and clean. Each room has a feather comforter and a number bed which were both a added bonus. The staff very friendly. The swimming pool was big and clean .

First, it was referred by the Hospital for near by accomations I rate that excellent... However, there were no rooms for that rate the blocked rooms were booked. So I asked for Government rate those were booked... I was quoted one price and charged another.... For the price: Housekeeping starts at 7am w/vacuuming so on a Sat morning be prepared... There were beer caps in floor, cleanliness varied. Guest services useless: All I got was a verbal apology.... Hope other have a more positive trip........

Requested non-smoking room. Got room full of smokey bedlinens, huge red pizza/spaghetti sauce spot covering top of spread, no parking places at the end of the evening and told to park across the street in a rental car lot. Staff was smoking while folding linens and delivering linens so even though we finally received new ones, they were full of smoke. Staff sprayed them with cherry air freshener to take smoke smell away. Rude staff. After complaining about above, we returned the next evening to one towel, one washcloth, NO soap and NO toilet paper. We did not think it was an oversight. No response when we complained by mail to corporate office.

We booked through Priceline and then called to ensure our pet was allowed. Intial answer was yes, reality is that the hotel does not support pet oweners, Owners are relagted to a few awful smelling rooms and are then informed the animal is not allowed to be left in the room. That would be fine if told upfronty however the hotel misrepresented the facts over the phone. Additionally the neighorhood is run down and crime ridden. Neither my nor I fely safe in their parking lot. We scrapped the reservation and left the same day.
