THE WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/4/05
There was mold in the room, both under the air conditioner and in the bathroom. There was, at first, NO water on Saturday morning, and then NO hot water for showers (don't even think of a bath to easy those aching feet and leg muscles from hours on Bourbon St, because the faucet for the tub didn't work). Then, the price of the room various as to, either, whoever happens to be at the desk at the time, or maybe whether they like your face or not. I booked two rooms at the same time, one for my husband and myself and one for our couple friends. Our friends checked out before us and paid 89, while we chked out a few hours later and paid 119. When I contacted the manager, I could NEVER get a return phone call. The only time I managed to talk to the "MOD/FOM" was when I called and he "happened" to actually be working. He promised to get back with me and never did and was never in when I tried to call back. We will NEVER, EVER stay here again. I will be coming to New Orleans at least twice a year from now on, and I will MOST DEFINITELY stay anywhere but here. A Motel 6 in the seedy part of town would have provided a better place to stay than this hotel. For $120 a night, I expected a nice room. I could have stayed else where at a cheaper rate and had, easily, as nice of a room, if not nicer. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. I PROMISE YOU! We were not the only unhappy customers that weekend. Every person walking out at check out time was as dissatisfied as we were. If this is the only place available, reschedule your trip. It, most definitely, is not worth the money.
