Motel 6, Grand Rapids

To get there we drove through a scary ghetto. When we got to the parking lot of the motel, there were HUGE potholes at the entrance and there were police cars and the police were in the lobby talking to the employees. We got checked in and went to our room. It was very old and dirty and run down. There was a huge window which was cracked all along itself so the seal was broken and it was all wet between the panes. The halls and room reeked of old cigarette smoke. The phone in the room didn't work. The only redeeming quality of this dump was that we were allowed to keep our large dogs in the room with us and the employees were generally friendly. Would not stay here again, though. Next time will put the dogs in a kennel and get a decent room at a better quality hotel.
