Otsego Club And Resort, Gaylord

We have been going to Otsego since the 60s and love it! the staff has always been wonderful, and the rooms are still very nice. I just wish we lived closer!

From the moment we arrived at the gate and were treated unfriendly, we asked to speak to the manager in charge and got the front office supervisor - she was rude and unwilling to resolve any issue!.....Then let's move on to the grounds staff which obviously does not get drug tested. All weekend, most of them seemed extremely high or strung out on something. Our kids were freaked out by most of them. Then, while in the dining room eating, staff dressed in navy blue jumpsuits, were coming out of the kitchen doors grabbing food off of the buffet with their dirty bare hands and going back into the kitchen with it. My husband and I were floored! Then, we were almost physically attached by some guy whose tag read "Miah". He was obviously strung out on something too. He started uncontrollable screaming at us and threatening us that he had the power to never let us at the resort again. We were asking him to calm down and he would not - at all! We were simply reving up our son's dirtbike, testing it, and if we weren't allowed to do so, he could have simply asked us - maybe even with some class-to stop as it was no big deal-obviously he had no class and he's lucky my husband didn't drop kick his psychoness! About the only good things I can say about this place, was the fall view was nice, the room was old, but not bad, and the maids were the only friendly, not strung out, employees around...everything else was unacceptable and made our stay one of the worst race experiences ever! I would never bring my kids around this resort again!

Love it, the renovations are great a perfect place to take the family!! The rooms are wonderful, skiing is perfect , food is excellent in the dining room. Have lots of great activities for the kids as well as the adults.
