La Quinta Inn Davenport, Davenport

We checked went to our room and the floor by the bed was soaking wet. It smelled like dog pee, yes I got on the and smelled it. I called front desk, manager and maintenance man come down. Manager rudely calls me liar and saying I'm not gettin down there to smell that. And says its just water we are having roof fixed and its leaking. we are on first floor. His tone of voice was so rude. Oh that could be because we are truckers, a lot of people don't believe we deserve to be treated like we are real people. The carpets were dirty couldnt walk around bare foot. And my husband found a moldy piece of food under the end of the bed. We usually love La Quinta but this one we will never stay at again. It is gross.and we were here for a funeral.

the rooms on the first floor all suck!!! they are all dirty, they do not really clean the rooms!!! there was all types of hair in the bed and bathroom. Also, there was garbage still in the rooms. Overall the whole room was terrible

Get what you pay for I guess. Room was decent price. Big breakfast was nice, but the fruit bowl had some spoiled fruit which was ruining all the fruit. Second morning the waffle iron was broke. It has a nice big pool and a nice meeting room. Our family members had someone's wet bathing suit in their room when they checked in and when they complained, nothing was done. They found the remote under the bed, makes you wonder if room had been cleaned at all. Our bed was comfortable and they do have some amenities that are nice like the ironing board and iron, blow dryer. Our bed spread had sticky wrapper on the underneath side. Garbage was running over on the West side of building. I told desk clerk...nothing was done for the three days I was there.

Was clean and looked reasonable, but I would never stay at another La Quinta Inn based on the way staff handled a bag we left behind in our room inadvertently. When Jervina cleaned our room, a bag we had left behind was locked in the room. She is the only one with direction to enter the room and apparently cleaned the room. When we called 4 hours after we left the hotel to inquire about our missing bag.....sorry, no one turned anything in. No access to a manager, no access to anyone who was willing to commit to interviewing or discussing the situation with Jervina or other cleaning staff. I was told I should file a police report. Which I did and found that I wasn't alone. Many items have been coming up missing at this hotel lately. A review on another site indicates they lock up the soap to keep the staff from stealing it. This sickens me, even more so when all circumstantial evidence points to their staff and no one is willing to address the culprits!!!!! My next contact will be the La Quinta National office to discuss how they can keep their name on a hotel run so poorly.....Too bad, because the rest of the staff was reasonable enough.
