Sundowner Inn, Newcastle

This is a great place...I loved the room very clean and newly done. Stacey was so nice and helpfull. Nice to know that there is hometown friends that work so hard to make us feel at home. I hope that we have a chance to come back and stay again, I fell as though we have made some good friends.

NO POOL, NOISEY TRAINS ALL NIGHT LONG, OIL FIELD WORKERS SMOKING ON THE STEPS

We traveled to Wy for Cheyenne frontier days and we decided that New Castle would be our resting spot and not drive straight thru to Cheyenne from ND. I am so glad I picked the Sundowner hotel to stay in.When I first opened the door to the Hotel I was relieved and felt a great deal of stress lifted off my shoulders from our traveling all day. The atmosphere was so comforting and relaxing. When you first walk in the door you see a big screen TV and very nice Couches and coffee tables around a brick wall decorated with different knick knacks. In one corner of the lobby was a huge bay window with beautiful green plants and very nice curtains that made you just want to sink into one of the couches and fall asleep. Stacey ( I assumed the owner) greeted us with a smile and she was most pleasant. Due to unforseen troubles the day before we were to travel and stay at the Sundowner Hotel it was late in the evening before I could get a chance to call to say we would not be able to make it Sat Evening and that our plans were being delayed by a day. Stacey was very understanding but due to the lateness of the call we would still have had to pay for the room.She asked if we would still be traveling this way and when I told her yes she offered to let us stay the next night and only charge us for the one night. I know the other hotels would not have done that. I was very greatful to her for that. Our stay was very pleasant and the beds were very comfortable being pillow tops. OUr room were very clean and appealing. There was coffee available in the morning along with toast, bagels and cereal for breakfast. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling through Wy.

What I loved about the Sundowner In is that there was a flatscreen TV and A really nice lady. I slept nice and I had 2 wonderful showers and best of all the reason I went ther is for a swim meet and my friend Josie spent the night too. We all had so much fun staying up and eating popcorn watching SNOW DOGS!!!

This is the nicest place to stay...clean rooms great service. Downtown close to everything and we were treated like family!! Clean rooms, great pool, nice folks.
