Flamingo Motel, Wisconsin Dells

no air, no clean towels, no fresh coffee, no clean cups, did not wipe off the counters, No toilet paper. When we asked for the items the towels smelled like sewage

My boyfriend and I stayed there for one night this past week and after reading all these reviews on various sites, we honestly didn't expect much, but upon arrival the staff in the front office was friendly and helpful. When we got to our room, it was slightly musty because the air had been office, but there wasn't anything dirty or moldy. The main reason we stayed there was for the 2 free tickets to Noah's Ark. Don't expect the Hilton or Marriot, remember the term "motel" is in the title, and keep in mind this is in a tourist area and you'll be good to go. It's in the center of everything so if you want a cheap vacation in a safe area its good.

This motel was awful! wet ,musty, and mildew odor. the floors werent vaccummed. footprints, bugs and blood on the walls, blankets and curtains. someone had even left their towels hanging in the bathroom. The room had everyone itching! in one of our rooms the power was out. the toilets were NASTY and not even cleaned. i wouldnt even recommend this for my worst enemy!

There was blood on one of the bedsheets - same bedspread was wet - when we complained we were told that it had to be from us - as soon as we checked in, we were back out for the evening - I am now 60yrs old, and I had my two grandsons with me - 8 and 14 - so we had no blood. My family has used the Flamingo for years since July 4th weekend 1995 - until July 27, 2009 - last year we stood across the street next door to BJs. The Flamingo needs to be cleaned up - the bedspreads - no one should have to sit or use them to prevent a chill as they smell and I am sure that they are not cleaned inbetween customers. People are correct, older staff are crabby, the teenagers are great - I have always liked to stay on the ground level rooms for convenience to my car. I have had my luggage picked over. Sorry the place is really bad -- the bus loads of students with their greasy hair, leave actual grease tracks in the pool - the inside pool needs a good scrubbing. When my sons were young, we would rent the guest house, that was an experience but I would not want to spend that type of money for that guest house anymore with the downscale of the hospital - yes its great to get the Noah's Ark tickets for free but the place is falling apart. By the way, there are a lot of bugs in the rooms.

I'm not one to write negative reviews but someone has to know about this motel. It is so dirty and the people are so rude. My sister tried to take advantage of some "deals" they advertised. She was taking my 2 daughters to this hotel to get some day passes to Noah's Ark. She called several times to ask specific questions about the deal etc and each time was treated with complete disrespect and rudeness. Once she arrived they told her she could NOT get a room because my daughters were not 18. They insisted that this was State law and would not let them check-in. My sister talked to the manager and they also said the same. How ridiculous!

I read a lot of bad reviews about this motel and am unsure why. Check in was easy and the staff was nice. I did not get over charged and my room was exactly what I reserved. The room was clean and smelled good. The furniture was not brand new but it wasn't dirty and was well maintained. The pool areas, both indoor and outdoor were clean and exceeded my expectations. The location of this motel was excellent and it worked well for visiting Noahs Ark and being able to take a lunch break in the motel room. The rate of the room was AMAZING considering you get free tickets to Noahs Ark. The kids had fun and so did the adults. I would stay here again.

We spent just one night here and I was expecting the worst after reading some of the reviews. We opened the door and the room smelled fresh and clean. The bathroom was clean and the floors looked fairly new. The beds were comfortable but the bedding was quite dated. I do bring along my own blankets and pillows but I do that on most car trips I really don't trust many hotels/motels on the cleanliness of pillows and blankets. I planned this trip with my 2 kids at the last minute and on a budget and it was priced very reasonable which included the Noah's Ark tickets (2) and I got the 3rd ticket at a discount. The kids swam in both the indoor and outdoor pools and the mini waterpark pool and they were clean and well maintained. The only thing I noticed was the gates were falling off. The original person who checked us in was not real friendly her nametag said she was from Reedsburg, WI. The rest of the staff was very nice and they went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. If you want the Hilton this is not the place for you, if you want a basic old motel with a few amenities, convenient location, free Noah's Ark passes and a fairly reasonable rate for a night or 2 this is the place for you.

Not worth wasting your time to stay at this dive! Rooms were way over priced, bathroom was dirty and filled with spiders, roomed smelled, poor TV service, not well taken care of and they will not offer any discount for a total charge of $173.00 per night! The only benefit was to have Noah's Ark right there; otherwise would highly NOT recomend this hotel!!!!!! What a rip off.

I had stayed here before and even though it was less modern it was decent for a value price. Very happy with the room. So after 4 years wwe went back to the motel because we had decent service before. This time was horrible and would never stay again. It might be cheap but it should at least be free of mold and bugs. the morning we were to leave, room service was sitting outside our door 2 hours before check out. The mattress were old and the whole room smelled. It really was disgusting and will spend the extra for my family.

I have stayed here before, mainly because it's cheap and they offer tickets to Noah's Ark. But I called last week to book 2 rooms (one night), was quote the prices, etc. and said I'd call back shortly to book the rooms. A mere couple of days later, when I called to book, the extremely RUDE woman named Joanne lied to me and said that I had to book the rooms for TWO NIGHTS instead of just one. When I asked why the sudden change in policy she said "it's whatever we feel like doing for any particular weekend." WHAT? When I told her I scoured the website for any such policy, she said "It doesn't HAVE to say anything on the website. I'm telling you this now." Unbelievable. I am beyond disgusted. I work in a VERY prominent Milwaukee law firm and I am sending this review of my shoddy treatment not only to very employee here, but to every "review" website I can find so that their business drops to nothing. Rude, insensitive (this is for my son's 16th birthday, which I explained). Joanne is an extremely rude woman. The gentleman I spoke with prior to her was very accommodating and polite. They have lost as much business as I can help them lose. I have posted this review on 14 sites so far and I’m not done yet. Well done, Joanne! Well done, Flamingo Hotel. PS: The place has never been a very nice place to stay but I never complained because when you want to stay on-the-cheap, you don’t expect total cleanliness or great service. But knowing this ridiculous policy (at the tail end of August, no less), I will spend the extra money and go someplace nicer. PSS: Sent this to Noah’s Ark as well, since they are affiliated with such disgraceful customer service, I felt they should know.
