Koro Sun Resort, Savusavu

Warm welcome from the moment we arrived.  The staff made us feel like part of the family.  They are so wonderful with children and really are very sincere.  This was the first time we ever left our children with non family members to watch them.  AND we had NO worries and the kids had a blast.Unusual music in the lobby???  Not to sure about their picks, didn't seem like Fijian music.  The resort seems to be building alot of outbuildings, and the resort could use some sprucing up....but, all in all it is a nice place to stay.We were hoping for bigger grander pools and a large white sand beach.  After all going to the tropics is all about being in the sun and sand!  Luckily a nice beach is a short trip away!We had A GREAT time!

Beautiful Resort..most staff are welcoming and helpful. If your looking for a peaceful retreat...don't bother...staff are always hassling you to spend money! even hiding in bushes waiting to pounce as soon as you step out. Brown waters and mosquitoes aplenty. The food was definately a standout. Worth looking on the main island for a cheaper and cleaner experience.

Wow, the local people and food were great, however, the ownership and non-local management are out there. It seems to be all about the money! Too bad!!!

We had a wonderful time in what must be the last undiscovered paradise. We were lucky enough to enjoy the South Pacific World Music Festival, which was simply amazing. The best of island musicians, playing under a midnight blue sky, blanketed with stars, AHHH - Eden found! The resort staff truly does know you by name the first day. The food is great, and the adventures! We swam with dolphins, snorkeled in this incredible bay, took a hike to this great waterfall, kayaked to what they call "bat island" and explored the caves, dove in a marine preserve. Plus had a totally hedonistic experience in their Rainforest Spa. There adventure packages are worth it - as are their romance packages. If you want a real, authentic experience, yet enjoy great food and pampering, you have to go here. It was the coolest vacation ever!

Picture a South Sea Island Paradise and on the Island of Vanua Levu at the KoroSun Resort you can have it. I did not know a place like this still existed on planet earth. One hour by plane from Nadi, Viti Levu and you step back in time 70 years. However, you can still have the creature comforts of modern day life. Thinking of going to the Hawaiian Islands? Think again....it must be like going to Kauai 70 years ago. Why is it like this? The pristine environment, the lack of commercialization, the genuine natue of the Fijian people who's culture is still intact in spite of modern influence. The beauty of the Fijian language and the fact that everyone speaks English. What more can I say.....in some ways I hope people don't "discover" Fiji and in particular Vanua Levu and Korosun. Koro Sun is all about the "real" Fiji. Not like the bigger resorts, Koro Sun is an intimate experience. They know your name by the first day, and are absolutely fabulous. Ana, the chef, works wonders in the kitchen - the food is definitely 5 star. Activities personnel are great - they keep you as busy as you want. If you want pure, unadulterated pleasure, check out the Rainforest Spa. AHHH. It is tucked away into the rainforest, next to waterfalls. No CDs of "nature sounds" needed, this is 100% authentic - bubbling waters, gentle tradewinds, the sing of the birds. The signature "Rainforest Massage" is relaxing, the tropical scrub invigorating, and for pure bliss, the ultimate massage (2 massage therapists working in complete synchronicity - I couldn't find the door by time I was done.) Highly recommended. Not a 5 star resort, but a great experience - and their adventure activities are fun.

Koro Sun is not your typical 4 or 5 star destination resort. The property is stunning and the accomadations very nice. The food is very good and usually part of your package. Koro Sun is charming and is currently under going many improvements. If you are looking for a resort with state of the art pool and activity facilities, Koro Sun is not the place, but you can get a more authentic experience of Fiji at Koro Sun.

This place was wonderful. Our dive group loved it so much we are going back again this year. the people wereso friendly. i love this place.

Just returned from paradise, the Koro Sun Resort near the town of Savusavu on Fiji's second largest island Vanua Levu. The staff made us feel like family, the food was great, the ambience was amazing. We had a relaxing time with new interesting cultural experiences and world class diving. WE ARE COMING BACK!
