December Weekend

The Nova Hotel has a really choice location just behind the main shopping street, close to Dam Square, the Royal Palace and the Red-light District and just a ten minute walk from the Centraal Railway Station. The street it's on is quite quiet, and even though trams go up and down, very little noise is heard inside the hotel. This was our second stay at the Nova and both times we have been favourably impressed with the value the hotel provides. The hotel has been rebuilt from 4 or 5 old houses and the way this has been managed has produced an interesting design.
Although the rooms are basically decorated and furnished, they are always spotless and the linen fresh. The beds are comfortable and the rooms warm in winter.
The public areas of the hotel are quite small but the reception from the staff is friendly and welcoming (good English is spoken).
Breakfast is taken in the smallish breakfast room in the basement and is continental with a good variety of cerials, breads, cold meats and cheese.
When you check out at the end of your stay (by 11 am.), the staff are happy to let you leave your luggage in a special locked room until it is time for your flight, train etc. There is no charge for this service.
This is certainly an hotel I would use again.
