One of India's better business hotels
If you don't need to be in the Parel area, you probably don't want to stay here because there isn't much else in the area. The closest shopping area worth visiting is Phoenix Mills, and you'll have to take a cab to get there. Not a big deal, but there are better parts of the city to stay in unless you have to be near Parel.
Pros:
* Modern rooms with neat touches like a fog-free section of the bathroom mirror and a TV that automatically mutes when you pick up the phone.
* Awesome restaurant called Kebabs. I ate their on consecutive nights.
* Well laid out, spacious rooms with great views of the city and a place to sit on the window sill.
* Included breakfast is quite a spread but could use more protein options
Cons:
* Crappy location in Parel
* Old style desk that's not the right height for typing on a laptop. Why do business hotels continue to use these 1800's era desks?
* Aggravating elevator that requires your room key to work. The room keys have a chip, not a stripe, and it's not clear how the elevator's reader works (apparently not too well).
* Small pool and tiny gym. This is a new hotel so there's really no excuse for not designing better facilities.
* The available internet connection is not wireless. It's also pricey at Rs600/day.
* Lights don't work unless your key is in a certain slot. This is a feature of cheap hotels, not ones that charge $180/night.
* As a previous reviewer mentioned, the way the make the bed before turndown is bizarre. They don't put the bedsheets on until turndown.
