Nice facility, but an odd place to stay.
The Ardmore is conveniently located, quiet, adequately clean and neat, and everything works (showers, toilets, lights, tvs, etc.)
However, it is very strangely operated. My friends and I arrived on a Friday afternoon around 3:00 p.m. for a four day stay. We were able to let ourselves in based on the instructions emailed to us. We found our rooms, got settled in, and hung around the place for a couple hours before heading out to dinner. We arrived back around 9:00 p.m. and stayed up chatting for a couple hours.
That first night we thought it was strange that no host had checked in on us --- either as a general courtesy or to see if we actually might need something.
Ditto the second, third and fourth days. During our entire stay no one checked in on us, freshened the rooms, cleaned the bath, or told us about how breakfast was provided (let alone prepare anything for us).
Someone did come by to put our dirty breakfast dishes in the dishwasher. We have no idea who he was since he barely spoke to us and didn't introduce himself, ask us anything, or offer anything.
Essentially, we treated the house like it was our own and did whatever we wanted! Our rooms and bath did get a bit seedy by the fourth day, but all in all I'd give this place an average rating since I'm an independent sort and don't mind fending for myself.
