State Line Inn, Hagerstown

I made previous reservations, I had planned on staying 5 nites while I was in town visiting my daughter. When I called I asked management if the place was a crap hole and was told "no", well it is. I checked in slept in my clothes and found another hotel the next day. The area and hotel is very shady. June20, 2009

Likes: - Fairly Clean - Quiet - Free Wireless that actually works in the room - Microwave and refrigerator - Cheap - Recently renovated Dislikes: - In the middle of nowhere - Rear parking lot could use more lighting for security - VERY firm mattress - Clean sheets but had stains - Hot water takes forever to come - Heat/AC unit wasnt sealed around the sides leaking 12* cold air into the room (the heater kept the room warm though) Overall: While this place was recently renovated they missed quite a few details. Screws missing in switchplates, heater light in bathroom was missing and replaced with a flourescent bulb, bathroom \ room overall were clean but renovation could have been better. If you are looking for a good value and somewhere with free wireless this is a good place.
