White Sands Village, Kailua Kona

I loved the quiet location of the building. It has a huge lanai with views of the ocean, gardens and mountains. I felt like we had every view possible and loved drinking my coffee and eating my breakfast in the mornings out on the lanai while listening to the birds sing. The lanai had chairs with ottomans, a loveseat, coffee table and dining table. I truly felt like we had another living area in the great outdoors of Hawaii. The unit was tastefully decorated in Hawaiiana theme and the kitchen was fully loaded. Everything was new and the unit was decorated nicely. We prefer condos over hotels and the lack of room service doesn't bother us at all. The grounds were beautiful and the beach across the street was one of the best beaches in Kona. The sand was soft and the water was a gorgeous teal and blue. I felt right at home in the unit and loved everything. Even the iPod docking center and wireless internet were nice touches we enjoyed. I loved it so much that I am taking a girl's trip in November to share the beauty of White Sands Village and Kona with my sisters and Mom. I agree with one of the other reviews, I would love to live there. I would recommend unit 326 as it's on the top floor and the views getter better the higher you go up. I also loved the convenience of the parking for two cars and the elevator. Hands down I would prefer this condo over a hotel. Kona was a gorgeous and quaint town and we loved spending time on the Big Island. There is so much to do, that we plan on taking our four kids back to the island next year and I know they will love the pool, sauna, pool table and tennis courts. There is something to do for everyone which is perfect for our family.

Unit 326 has fantastic views of ocean and mountain side. Upper building is quite... far enough from the road but not to far from the bueatiful white sands beach which is only a 100 yards from unit with pool only 100 feet.

The units are owned by individuals and you should be familure with what to expect when you rent a condo instead of a hotel. You do not get daily maid service, and must furnish most of your paper products as well as laundry soap and shampoo. But if you are willng to accept that fact (which we are)then White Sands is a great place to stay. They had three BBQ grills in the pool area so there was never a wait. You could go back and forth from the pool to the beach all day without worrying about a parking place. Our unit was a 2-2 with a full kitchen and had everthing we needed including a selection of spices which was really nice. It was also great to have a washer and dryer in the unit. I will definately take our family back to Kona and stay at White Sands.
