Should be called a budget motel
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 8/22/06
I like the fact that it is easy to get at as it is right on 411 out of Knoxville Tn. But my front door had a 2 inch gap where I had to put a pillow to stop any critters. The manager killed a rattler on the lawn one morn. That was cool.A/C very rattly and noisy. Carpet smelled like it had 50 bottles of freshner put on it.You would not walk barefoot around the room.It just seemed a silly thing to do due to the overall impression you get the minute you open the door.If you are a guy and don't mind a bit of rough then I'd say it's worth 20 a night max.Otherwise pay the extra and get some proper place to sleep.Good resturants nearby. I can't see why the guy doesn't just go to the bank and get an investment loan and do it right. The passing traffic is plenty.God Bless.

You get what you pay for!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 6/27/06
I visited this area because of a family reunion and only stayed for 2 days. All the reviews you read about are true. I even took pictures of the motel room and showed them to my husband when I returned home to Washington State and he said" Oh honey I'm so sorry, well we didn't know, it looked ok on the internet, well that will never happen again".Since I was from out of town before we booked, we talked to the manager and he said he will take care of me, huh, hardly saw him. The only thing I liked was Hardy's across the street and cheap cigarettes. Oh and of course the family reunion.

Rudest People I've Ever met!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/24/06
I made a phone reservation at the Princess Inn on the day of arrival b/c I was coming up for a funeral. I arrived late and went straight to the funeral home to grieve, met friends who had a room and stayed with them. I did not have the Priness phone#. Then we drove by the Princess on the way to burial the next day and I caught a glimpse of this filthy rathole and was glad I didn't stay. I called to explain my situation and ask not to be charged. They told me of their 24 hr cancellation policy and said too bad. I said I didn't even make the reservation 24 hrs in advance but he said "that was my problem, not his" I have never witnessed such rude behavior, almost unhuman non-compassion for a death. And, by the looks of the place with bars over their airconditioner units to keep them from being stolen and one car in the parking lot, they only money they make is from people who never stay there.

Princess in Maryville TN
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/19/06
At best it's a one star place with 2 to 3 star prices. It was close to where we needed to be at the time and you could sleep there. Most everything in the room was well past the time for replacement. Carpet was dirty and worn, shower was in need of cleaning. Price was poor. We could have stayed at a much nicer place for the same money or less. People that run the place seem nice enough but I wans't there to rate the people. It really needs updated for the cost.

Awful
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/21/05
Rude owner, stinky smoking room even though I asked for a non-smoking room. Burn holes in linens, bathtub filthy, total charge per night $57.00!! Would not give us a non-smoking room because we had pets. Then kept our pet deposit, not because the pets did anything, but because I complained about the smell and cleanliness. He told me, "You won't get your deposit back because you talked bad about my hotel."

HORRIBLE!!!!!
By Chelle, 8/15/05
Filthy and horrible. Falsely advertised b/c what we saw on the website was not what the place was like when we arrived. Rude service, most disgusting place we have seen in a long time.

By Josh, 5/17/05
GROSS! A/C BROKEN. Toilet wouldn't flush, bathtub looked as if it hadn't been washed in about 50 years. Sorry excuse for a motel. Will never stay in again
