Western Motel, Philadelphia

What a Dump!! This place is something out of a horror movie. First of all, all the furniture is ancient. The mattress were so uncomfortable. We could have slept better on the floor, except it smelled really bad. The bedding had burned cigarette holes in them. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room. We own our own business. We checked in and left for an event that we had planned for the day. My husband and I was given a key for room #107, Needless to say we trusted that the room was in good condition. What a disappointment!! When we got back, it was very late and we both were very exhausted, therefore we decided go to bed. The next morning as I started to take a shower, I notice that the lower part of the shower curtain was dirty and covered in mold. We looked to the ceiling and notice that it also had some mold. The microwave or refrig didn't work. My husband we to the office to speak with the Manager. He asked the young lady if she was the Manager. As he started to explain the problem. She said, (In a depressing tone) "Wait a minute, I'll get my husband.". With in a few minutes, a tall dark hair man came out and began yelling at my husband. He was very angry and nasty, telling my husband to get off of his property before he calls the Police. My husband said, "You have mold in the room you rented us. What are you going to do about it?". He ignored what my husband was telling and and kept saying,"Get out of here." He followed my husband out of the office to our truck. This man has an anger problem. I don't understand how he got posession of this motel, but I am turning this matter over to the Health Department. With a man like this running around in our country with such anger, We don't have to tolerate this kind of treatment. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE CONDEMNED!!

ask for kingsize bed said they didin't have one the hotel was not full, there was no coffee in the room, the icemachine was broken, ,not enough towels in the room. the upkeep of the property was not good, you did have availability of managment all in all it was not a good stay

My family and I stayed at this particular motel during a weekend visit in August 2009. My son was in Ms. on a competition hunt. Anyway, Saturday around 11:00 my children(ages7,11) wanted to go swimming. So, we got dressed and proceeded to go to the pool. My 2 children immediately jumped in as I sat by in a chair and watched. They had been swimming for about 20 minutes or so and my 12 year old made the comment that the pool had lots of bugs and caterpillars in it. I told him sometimes filters don't catch everything. Anyway, another couple came out and joined them in the pool. Everyone was having a good time when all of a suddenly, the man said"there's a snake!" His wife immediately jumped out as I went running to pull my kids out. Meanwhile, the man is frozen in the water, saying where is the snake? His wife took off to go get the hotel manager and I bent over the pool trying to find the snake. Suddenly, there he was!!!!!! So, I told the man he was within a couple of feet to where he was standing. By that time, my 15 year old son walked out and asked "what in the world are you doing"? So, I showed him the snake. By that time, the manager comes out with the lady and says it is a snake? And we all said yes!!!!! There it is. He replied, "oh I'm not getting I'm scared of snakes. So, my 15 year old grabbed a pole and began pulling it out and stabbing it with the pole. After he killed it, he placed it on the concrete beside the pool. The manager told my son, oh do something with it. We can't leave it out for display. So, he asked me what to do with it and I told him , put it in the garbage can!!!!! I hate snakes myself!!!! Then, so much for their continental breakfast. There was no milk for the cereal, no juice to drink and when ever my kids asked for these items, they were ignored. Needless to say, we still had to pay full price for the room !!!!!!!!!!!!
