Motel 6, Fort Wayne

We have stayed at this Motel 6 4 times now and will not stay here again. The first time, a few months ago was okay, the room was reasonably clean and the staff was very nice. The next time the cleanliness seemed to have gone down but was still acceptable. The third time the sheets had not been changed, one bed was full of dark body hair, the other had cigarette ashes in the bed (this was a non-smoking room). There were also ashes on the nightstand and telephone. The desk clerk gave us clean sheets for the bed and offered to move us to a different room. The next morning at check out I mentioned the problem to the manager and received a certificate for a free night's stay at any Motel 6. The last time, just last week, the room had obviously been a smoking room previously and has not been cleaned to remove the residual smoke odor. The showers in this motel are some weird round stall with the shower head at the outside edge. The shower curtain was about 6 inches too short and the bathroom was about 1/2 inch deep in water at the end of my shower. There was a huge stain in the middle of the carpet. One of the beds was so sunken in the middle that you could see it even when the bed was made. The bedspread smelled funky, not quite sure what the odor was. All in all, it is not even worth the $41.00 per night price. We will find somewhere else to stay next time we are in Fort Wayne.
