Checked in staying with my family before leaving for Afganistan. We are from 29 Palms, Ca. The floors were ripped up, dirt and dust all over, A/C not working, vents packed with dust, rust all over the shower, disrespectful counter people, and lying managers, what more could you not want from a motel. Used to stay in Motel6 all the time, never again, this is the second time we have stayed at this motel in 4 years, and have had the same problems, they are not getting any better with time.
I got their on a late arrival as usual. I have been to this hotel about 3o0 times in the last 5 years. I check in on Sunday go to Mexico for my teeth and leave back to San Diego Monday. On this occassion #59281I checked in and went to eat out. When I got back to the hotel I was very tired and went to bed. I awoke at 3:00 a.m. there was a weird smell. I found out what it was. The prior guest had a Pizza and it came with garlic sauce which spilled all over the bed. In the morning at 6:30 I went to the office and complained. I spoke to a young lady and their was a gentleman behind the counter both looked at me and said "O WELL SORRY" and continued to work. When I came home I emailed the Corp. No response. So this is my last time staying here.
Honestly, our stay wasn't too bad. The free soap was a plus. The hotel is convienantly located near Penny's Diner (a cute little vintage diner across the way). The room was tidy, the beds were comfy. However, we do agree with theother reviewers that the toilet does indeed sound a little noisy. The best part was that in the lobby, there is a brochure shelf and we found a brochure for the Peanut Patch. I highly recommend that you go there for some tasty fudge and peanutty treats! It is located out in the country, and I honestly expected Toby Keith to come walking through the front door! All in all, Motel 6 is a super place to stay. We had a blast, and so will yu(ma)!
Staff was very friendly, even though they must have forzeen the mess from my pet ferret! Area had a safe feeling. Only problems: boat-like shower (very small, shower head gave a messy, sharp spray), bed was made with two top sheets, woke up on the icky mattress a few times.
This was a year ago, and I'll be using their services again this week!
Definately worth the price.
