We had an excellent time!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/20/09
The management and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was nicely decorated, quiet, and clean. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows and a nice big comforter. My children enjoyed the pool area as well. The location is great..minutes from the interstate and shopping. I got a great deal on the room and will return in the future.

Friendly Place
By GiGi, 09/23/08
My daughter, 4 year old granddaughter and I recently spent a long weekend there. I have never met a more personable, friendly staff. My granddaughter is a typical rowdy 4 year old. Everyone from the dining room staff to housekeeping was wonderful with her. The day manager was the absolute best. I highly recommend it.

A bad experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/01/07
When I heard the name "Crowne Plaza" in Little Rock, I thought I will be staying in a 5-star hotel. Guess I was wrong. This hotel doesn't deserve his name. No organisation, my order was wrong, the food tasted bad.I did learn they let their executive chef go.( My waitress told me the guy was very good about food.).The room was not clean and smelled smoke. I could not use the remote control.A lot of stuff went wrong. I was very displeased. They need to improve badly before they deserve their real "Crowne Plaza " name.

Wow

This is like staying in a brand new hotel. The renovations they have done are incredible. It looks like you're in Los Angeles or San Francisco. The friendliness of the employees was uncomparable! The food was great, too.

Don't get bit -
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/07
The most horrific stay of my life in what I believe a bug infested room. After a nights stay noticed what appeared to be bite marks or rash on my upper torso. The next day, I noticed the bite marks and rash had become worse. I went to the emergency room that evening in Little Rock and a local doctor said I had an allergic reaction to something in the room. When I arrived home, I went to the emergency room and was told I had scabies. A microscopic bug that burrows into the skin. I believe I contracted this bug from the Holiday Inn Select. No one in my home had come down with this infectious parasite. Nice rooms. My coworker did contract the bug in his room.

Wrong Choice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/03/06
I had the choice of staying at this hotel, or at another well known one. I chose this one because I figured if it was a "select" hotel and it might be a cut above the others- as far as quality goes. Wrong! The room was shabby-looking. The carpets needed cleaning. The curtains were even hanging off the rods. The bathroom was clean. I am not a smoker, but I had no choice but to accept a "smoking" room because the hotel was booked because of a convention that was going on. Smoke was the first thing I smelled when I entered the room.(maybe that should have been expected- I don't know). Maybe, I thought, these are the rooms they give you when you are just staying the weekend. We had to wait for clean towels because there was an athletic convention going on and they were out of towels. The ladies that checked us in were very nice, but gave us the wrong information about the cost of adding a roll-away bed to our room. Before we checked out I talked to a night manager (who- I might add was sitting in a chair-sleeping behind the desk). I attempted to talk to him about the error. He did not respond..just started checking something on the computer while I was still talking to him. Then he said, "I'm taking it off!" That was it...no apology..no thank you for staying here - is there anything else we can do for you? The housekeeping staff were very courteous, and very responsive to our needs. It was good to think that somebody there cared. You can believe that Holiday Inn "Select" will never again be in any of our future travel plans. I would never-ever recommed it to others.
