Super 8 Hot Springs, Hot Springs

This is a fairly average Super-8 motel, well located close to the lake on the main drive through town, but our one big gripe (and very important to us) was that the internet service was TERRIBLE - we were there for 3 days, and it was just a nightmare trying to get the internet to work - either on our laptop in the room, or on the community computer in the lobby. It was soooooo sloooowwwwww, and just never improved over the whole time we were there. Secondly, it was impossible to access the hot water at our bathroom sink - the bathtub was fine, and the water was perfectly hot, but the hook-up, or the faucet was faulty at the sink, so it was cold all the time. Finally, the morning desk clerk (who was also in charge of breakfast) had to be coaxed, against her will, to make decaf coffee - There are a lot of motels in Hot Springs - I'd try another next time.

We made reservations for NON-Smoking room due to health reasons. When we arrived the horribly rude lady at the front desk stated the hotel was smoking only and that we could take it on leave it. No offer to help, nothing. If you like rude staff and very dirty lobby's (we never saw a roof but I can't imagine what they would look like based on the horrible lobby) this is the place for you.

Staff was friendly. It was a little disappointing that there was no pool, my fault for not noticing when I booked. We stayed on a Sunday night and there wasn't much open in Hot Springs. The room was clean and the bathroom was a little small. Breakfast was good with plenty of selection. The room did have a slight odor.

Small bathroons, very noisy, walls are very thin and you can hear everything including in hallway. Night help was very nice upon check in. Thank heavens we only stayed one night on way to next stop

This hotel was very clean. The staff was nice and friendly. Although check-in was at 3:00, we were able to check in at 2:00. We were in a king sized room which had a micro frige(very convenient for our 3 nights stay). The continental breakfast was a nice touch. I'm not a big breakfast eater, so the muffins, danishes, bagels, and juice was plenty. I would definantly stay here again.

The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. We have stayed here several times. It is clean and very reasonable. It is very close to the lake. It is nicer than both of the "resort" hotels downtown.
