Won't stay here ever again!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/11/11
First off this is a nice and clean place but the bad is there is no parking. When you check in they give you a little blue piece of paper that says travelodge and gives the date your to be there thru, they said that this is how they know if you our to be parked in there lot or not. Well it didn't do one bit of good to have that. We came back to our room after being out on the battlefield and there was no place to park. So we went in and asked the person at the desk where can we park she looked at us like we were putting her out and she said well we are not full so there should be some place to park out there. I told her no there isn't she said well I guess you'll have to wait and see if someone leaves. I couldn't believe what I was hearing... I paid for this room and I couldn't even park in the parking lot because of people who wanted to walk downtown so they would park in the Travelodge parking area because they knew nothing would be done about it. What this place should do is tow all the ones who don't have that little peice of paper but I gues that paper don't mean anything since I was paying for a room that I couldn't even park at. I looked around myself and only about 20 cars parked there had the little paper that showed they were to be there. I even watched people pull in park and take off walking down the street. Plus it's the first place I've ever stayed that the parking lot didn't have the room numbers painted on the pavement. I know Gettysburg is extreamly busy in July but that shouldn't mean that guest of a motel shouldn't be able to park in the motels lot.

OK for price
By no-ID, 11/19/09
like location easy to walk to sights. Noisy people in room next door woke up next morning and saw beer bottles in hall way (empty of coarse) Looked like college kids were in there and still loud in morning and dizzy from all night party. Same thing happened following night then complained to staff and no action happened stated they were leaving this date. Stayed again third night and everything was better. Staff should have done something about that party

Close to everything
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 7/26/07
We disliked the way we were welcomed when we arrived. They had their hand out for money and we had already paid in advance for the room. They could have checked that out first.Every time we had to go to the desk for something,it was a different person and she had to be told everything aLL OVER again. One lady could get some lessons in personality. She acted like she was doing us a great favour. Some one ther gave us the wrong directions to some familiar attraction..We moved across the street to trhe holiday inn,and spent a few nights with teh resident ghost..GEORGE.. Very friendy staff there. The cleaning staff was great ,even have their e_mail address, nice girls, and they have a great personality, somehting you need in working with people.

Great stay
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 4/11/07
This hotel represents a great value. Centrally located and within walking distance of numerous restaurants as well as all the shops. 3 blocks from the battlefield it's location can't be beaten. The room was bright and clean, the staff helpful and friendly. We will be returning in June 2007.

Awesome locations, great price
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 5/29/06
We come to Gettysburg at least once a year and always try to stay here. The location is perfect, right in the middle of town, and the price is excellent. You get a clean comfortable room, nothing too fancy, but still nothing to complain about. Try to get the "sleepy bear" room--you get a free teddy bear (two if you ask for an extra!) and a nice big bed.

Great experience!
By Cherdani, 8/23/05
Extremely clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast is better than most. Within short walking distance to most of the attractions - it's in the middle of all the activity. Pricing was competitive with other hotels of this quality in the area. Beds could be a little softer, but other than that the stay was exceptional! We've stayed there twice and plan on going back again next year.
