2 reviews for Americus Center Hotel & Suites, Allentown
hotel condemned
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/02/07
You couldn't stay here if you wanted to. The building has been condemned, and the City of Allentown has recently gained permission to cut the power if the owner doesn't bring the whole building up to code post haste (this has been an issue for over 3 years). The tenants in the bottom floor shops moved out last year b/c of the impending loss of electricity, and there is scaffolding over the sidewalks on Hamilton and 6th to protect the pedestrians from falling parts of the facade. Once an institution, now a crumbling eyesore.

I loved the layout of the building. It was very convienent for what I had to do. My stay was quite delightful, and very relaxing. I will deffinatly, without a doubt, be staying here again.
