Not Quite What I Hoped...
By J.T., 09/15/09
I liked the jacuzzi, the provided personal items and its location from the boardwalk. The staff was responsive, so that was a plus too. What I didn't like was the jacked-up price for weekends (stayed in Aug), the fact that the hotel was in 2 sections--crossing the street for breakfast was an annoyance, cigarette burns in blanket, and the sink light wasn't working that well. Hm, what else? Oh yeah, housekeeping only came once (we stayed 3 nights) we had to call the desk to get our iron/iron board when it when it was sposed to be provided in the room...and they weren't specific about the internet service ONLY being available in the lobby (we bought our laptop thinking all rooms had access). That sucked. Overall, I was disappointed. Since this was part of the Choice Hotels chain, I figured it would be at least decent. Their Comfort Suites Hotel was great! Maybe I'm being a bit picky to some, but geez we paid alot for this stay and we like to get our money's worth! THIS particular hotel is not recommended for couples looking for a getaway or those used to getting quality hotels. Won't be staying there again.

Motel Hell
By STRANDED, 03/08/09
You don't want to stay at Econo Lodge Beach Block 3001 Pacific Ave!! That should be knocked down. Motel feom Hell. Didn't get OVERSIZED SUITE as reserved, charged me for it. No fireplace. Everything wired with extension cords or plug adapter. Overhead lights you see the rafters/wiring above, looked below code. Screw under carpet. No heat. Low power in jacuzzi. NO HOT WATER for at least 2 hours both mornings.

A Great Choice!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/20/08
This hotel was very close to the beach and the Tropicana. Although it wasn't listed online, it had a microfridge and a continental breakfast. It was clean and in good condition. Also, the hotel actually accepted the coupon offer in August!!! It was great for the money, especially if you can't afford to pay a fortune. We had thought we might have to stay out in Absecon and drive in. We were across from a noisy bus depot and it was a long walk to the other casinos, but overall it was great. People at the front desk were efficient and friendly. Breakfast was fine, although a bit crowded. There was no pool, so I don't know if I would stay with kids, but for adults wanting to gamble and have fun on the Boardwalk, it was terrific.

Never again!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/26/08
I thought the staff and service were good. As for the hotel, the room was uncomfortable the floors were sticky and there was no windows that could open. There were prostitutes and druggies right outside of the hotel and young men hastling drivers from the roadside. Not too mention beggars all over including the boardwalk. I wouldn't reccomend any one to stay here.

BEDBUG ALERT - DO NOT EVER STAY HERE
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/09/08
I am currently caring for a friend who stayed at this hotel. She and her husband are now covered in bed bug bites that have become infected and have swollen up into large hideous welts. Up their arms, legs, belly and even a welt on the back of the neck. The staff was dismissive of their experience. No attempt was made to compensate them except for a free nights stay. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH, AND STAY AWAY FROM ALL ECONO LODGES.

VERY GOOD PLACE TO STAY
By Ro, 03/05/08
I VISTED THERE SEVERAL TIMES I WAS VERY SURPRISED HOW NICE THE LADY WAS, SHE WAS VERY NICE AND EVEN OFFERED US LOWER RATES WHICH BEAT ANY LOCAL HOTEL CHAIN. THE ROOM WAS MOSTLY FOR US TO FRESHEN UP AND HIT THE CASINOS AND SHOPPING AREA. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS QUESTIONABLE WAS A STAIN ON THE BLANKET, BUT NO ONE USES THOSE BLANKETS ANYWAYS LOL POSITIVE EXPERIENCE OVERALL.ALSO GAY FRIENDLY RO

We loved it
By Lola, 01/22/08
Me and my boyfriend took the bus down to atlantic city. Check in wasnt till 4pm we got there around 1pm we called and asked if we could check in earlier. The girl told us we could. They even upgraded our room to the King Suite. The best thing was that it was right across from the Tropicana which was the bus would meet us. The only thing that i would suggest they do it try to update it alil more. but other wise my stay there was great.

Nice to my Surprise
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/22/07
I took a vacation to Atlantic City for the first time on August 19th. We stayed 3 nights at the Econo Lodge Beach Block. When we first arrived it was raining like cats and dogs. The woman behind the front desk was very nice. She gave us advice on where to have dinner..... When we arrived to our room it was very very clean and smelled like air fresher. The bathroom looked as if it had just been renovated. I even told my boyfriend that the linen smelled "too clean" :o). The room had a Microwave which was clean and a fridge which was also very clean. Let me be honest..... I didn't expect this hotel to be this nice but to my surprise it was. I will stay at this hotel again. It was located less than a minute from the board walk and the Tropicana hotel. If you don't want to drive, the Jitney stops right in front of the hotel.

Was OK and cheap
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/25/05
I stayed the last week and I had no problems. Our room was clean. And it's seconds to the beach. We paid $65 a night - breakfast included.

Nice but cheap
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/18/05
I love Atlantic city, Econolodge is not like Bally's or Tropicana hotels but they are clean, cheap and very polite staff. This will be the second time my family has visited and love it !!!!!
