Presidio Inn, San Francisco

The place was dirty. My wife and me have been covered in bed bucks bites that are huge and infected. The main desk stuff is apparently nice, but when you bring a complaint they get defensive, arrogant, offensive and pretty rude. The location is pretty nice, but the hotel is the worst I had ever stayed. Motel 6 is a 5 star place compared to Presidio Inn.

Friendly people, that is mostly. And the rooms are dated but clean. That's it. I asked beforehad for quietness. Yes, it would be very quiet, they told me. Forget it!! Very busy street nearby, so constantly lots of noise. And more: the walls are very thin, so if your neighbor likes televsion, you can hear everything, even with very decent sound. Breakfast included? Yes: cookie in plastic, plus juice. That is, several times the machine was empty at 8.30AM. Last morning I checked out, and asked for a taxi. Forget it, boy (is he really the manager??) was busy on the telephone and could not call for me. He wanted me to go back to the third floor and call there, leaving all my luggaga unattended. Service: crap.

ROOM SMELLED, LAMP DID NOT WORK, AFRAID TO LIE ON BED, BATHROOM DOOR WOULD NOT CLOSE, WALLS PAPER THIN, LOTS OF NOISE,OVERALL FELT UNSAFE. WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND OR GO THERE AGAIN.

Nothing redeeming to write about this "Inn." The front desk staff was unfriendly, our first room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke (though on website this hotel was supposed to be smoke-free), questionable dark stains on chairs/floors/bed sheets. Requested another room which was not much better-door numbers were on paper taped to the door, grimey bathroom, and same filthy floor and furniture. Door to outside could have been easily kicked in by a two-yr-old. Correction-only redeeming value was free wi-fi so that my husband and I were able to book another hotel on same night we checked in.

my friends and i booked this hotel for october fest. the pictures look ok online but the actual room was totally different. the first time walking in we noticed the smell then we noticed that the sheets were dirty with noticeable stains, blankets have never been washed, carpets dirty, bathroom filthy, they only gave us one set of towels and they looked dirty, the cops busted someone in the middle of the night, i wouldn't pay one dollar to stay at this place again, save your money or pay a little more stay at another hotel.

This place ist the worst hotel/motel I have ever seen. We booked the room over their website and on our arrival had to learn that all the information on the web are just a big LIE! The rooms were DIRTY and dark with broken furniture and riven bed sheets. When we entered the room we were greeted by a rotten smell which made us turn around in an instant. When we complained about the discrepancy between the pictures in the web and the REAL rooms, the manager told us that all hotels lie. We had to pay for two hotels rooms that night...

I am angry that this place is nothing like the picture. It was run down and filthy! I did not take a shower, because the bathromm was horrible.

Went here with my girlfriend in late march 2005. We stayed 3 nights. It was easy to book and check in. The staff was pretty friendly but nothing extra. The rooms were okay, clean and fairly large. The price was around $40 a night and it was well worth the money. A bit off from anything but the marina but if you like walking you can easily get to Golden gate in 40 min walk and Fishermans Warf in 20 minutes. The noise from Lombard st is a little disturbing but it's not too bad. We would go back here again and we recommend this motel for short stops or if you're on a budget.

The rooms were cute and clean, all done up wit ikea decor. Our room was large, had a mini bar, and an extra couch/bed for company. The staff was great too. Very good location, easy access to the golden gate bridge and the presidio.

Non-smoking room stunk! TV romote broken, mold in shower stall, mold on ceiling in bath, saggy bed, walls needed painting, shelf in bathroom taken off and holes left with no place to put toiletries. They need to take better care of it!!!!!
